I believe they are the largest single government contractor, so this is classic revolving door stuff at a minimum.
Pledges to “recuse himself” are beside the point when you are dealing with a firm with such pervasive influence on all facets of .gov.
Don’t be shocked if Comey gets re-hired by Lockheed Martin at a senior executive level.

That sounds even greater than the TOTAL paperwork of surveillance by J.Edgar Hoover’s entire reign as director of the FBI.

What is sad is the FBI hired some West Point types and they are out in the field in cities like Little Rock, Nashville, etc. These younger men have no idea of how corrupt things are now in HQ. A friend who died last year was class WP class of 65. He had two sons, both graduated from service academies. One Air Force and his youngest a West Pointer is in the FBI now. Sad.

You raise an interesting point I had not considered! Maybe that was why Trump waited to fire him.
I think I didn’t make the point clear, because you and at least one other missed it.
It’s not that you couldn’t make that many phone calls. It’s that there is no way a single person could say they SAW that many, in the sense of actually inspecting each one to know.
If he said “he saw a database where there were 900 million phone calls stored”, that would make sense. But the author claimed to have actual knowledge of these 900 million phone calls as having been associated with something, as opposed to saying he saw a report that there were 900 million calls in a log.
If all you were doing was looking at the numbers, it would take a lifetime to read every one of them.
But he said he SAW the 900 million calls, and SAW trumps name “a zillion times”. Even given the obvious hyperbole of “a zillion times”, he clearly did not LOOK AT the logs of 900 million calls, or count them, much less SEE that Trump’s name was in the transcripts a zillion times.
Maybe he meant “I was shown a database that claimed 900 million numbers, and a report showed trump’s name mentioned 203,431 times.”
