Trump could just hire from within the FBI. Hundreds of generals were bypassed to hire Eisenhower as commander of Allied Forces. Trump could reach down ten salary grades within the FBI. Talk about a shock to the system. I’m not joking!

There was a book I read last year on how General Marshall picked his commanders “Marshall and His Generals: U.S. Army Commanders in World War II (Modern War Studies)”.
Marshall made a note of talent as he came across it and Eisenhower was no accident. He was hand picked by Marshall to be the American Commander in Europe and later the Allied Commander. Highly recommended to read.
