Illegal Deported 15 Times Gravely Injures 6-Year-Old American
Townhall.com ^ | May 11, 2017 | Todd Starnes

Lennox Lake was having the time of his life on Saturday.  The six-year-old had tagged along with his mom and dad on a road trip to central California.

Lennox had been such a good boy, his parents decided to treat him to a surprise stop at Disneyland – the happiest place on Earth.

On the drive back home to San Ysidro, the Lakes treated their good little boy with one final treat - a frosty milkshake from In-N-Out. They were just a block from their home.  But they never made it.

Police say the Lakes were hit by an alleged drunk driver – a man identified as a Mexican national – a man living in our country illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement tells Fox 5 in San Diego the suspect had been deported 15 times over the past 15 years.

Constantino Banda-Acosta is accused of slamming his pickup truck into the passenger’s side of the Lake family’s Honda Accord. And then, he fled the scene.

Benjamin and Ingrid Lake suffered minor injuries, but Lennox was gravely injured. He was bleeding from his nostrils and his ears.

The San Diego Tribune reported that the child was unconscious, not breathing.

Benjamin Lake tells me his son has had two surgeries and doctors are cautiously optimistic the child will fully recover.

“He’s a fighter,” Ben said. “Really – my strength comes from Lennox and seeing him fight so hard. I want to do everything possible for him.”

Ben and Ingrid have been taking turns sleeping on a couch in the hospital room – 24 hours a day.

“We don’t want to leave his side,” Ben told me.

In the meantime, family members have launched a GoFundMe page to help cover medical bills and other expenses. You can lend a helping hand by clicking on this link.

The San Diego Tribune reports the suspect is being held on $100,000 bail. Banda-Acosta faces a number of charges including felony hit and run, drunken driving and driving without a valid license.

“It’s hard not to be angry – the fact that this is like the 15th time he’s had a run-in with the police,” Ben told me. “It’s angering. There is something wrong with the system where this guy can keep coming back.”

The Lake family has every right to be angry – furious.

“He’s hurting people and somehow he keeps coming back – it doesn’t make any sense,” he said.

San Diego’s mayor says they are not a sanctuary city – but the Lake family feels otherwise.

“It’s hard not to feel that way after this happened,” Ben said. “Before all of this I was indifferent, but I definitely don’t support sanctuary cities.”

I hope you will pray for Lennox and his family.

But I also urge you to call your elected leaders – and demand they take immediate action to secure the border and rid our nation of the scourge of illegals.

How many more 6-year-old children must be injured by illegal aliens before Washington, D.C. takes action? How many more families must be terrorized by the invaders?

California lawmakers are considering legislation to become a “sanctuary state.” The legislation would in effect provide refuge for illegals like the one who nearly killed Lennox Lake.

Let me be clear: sanctuary cities may provide a safe haven for illegals, but they create a living hell for the rest of us.

To the family it is just as tragic if the driver was a legal citizen. Prayers out to them.

However, to a Nation when the hell when we secure our border and remove the cheese that keeps drawing these vermin over here.

I blame out FERAL Government just as much as I blame the businesses that hire them, the coyotes that lead them and the plants that provide them food and shelter along the way.

These grass crawling invaders have to be stopped injuring our People. We need to take matters into our own hands if it does not. More than just reporting illegals to our "authorities".

Prayers for the little boy and the family.

For every crime committed by an illegal, the blood and blame is on the hands of the political parties who’ve allowed them into our country. They are the accomplices and the enablers and should be charged just as seriously as if they were driving the vehicle drunk.

It a waste of time and money to deport these people. Put them in work camps and BRAND an ( I )on their foreheads if they are a repeat invader.

You’d have to provide them with adequate food, shelter, expensive healthcare to the grave and entertainment, too. That’d be better benefits for them than deportation and even costlier.

I despise CA politicians and democrat voters!

For every damn illegal alien sob story the damn news media features, there’s at least 5 like this one and by that I mean, at least 5 incidents wherein American citizens are victimized by illegal aliens!

Typical response by the family, “before I was uncommitted about sanctuary cities”. IOW, until something hits home, it is of no consequence. How do we wake up a population that is so disinclined to see the handwriting on the wall? Does every family have to have a tragedy befall them before they see that being nice is akin to being a doormat?

Immigration, both legal and illegal, proponents say: some/most/an occasional/majority or whatever portion of these illegals are just trying to make a life for themselves. So what, the problem is a cultural one. Some hate women, some despise our liberty, some belong to a cult religion, some care not a whit about our laws, customs, or language. My point is, they do not wish to assimulate so why bother making it easier to get here or to put little to no onus on their coming illegally? Build the wall, electrify it, back it up with M-60s and be done with it already. For those here illegally give them say six months to get out and after that when apprehended, deport them from 10000 feet without a parachute. Locate businesses, individuals who employ them and fine them out of existance. Anything else is conversation.

The “illegal” likes it here in America so much he’s willing to “kill” (or come close to killing) to live here should be all the reason needed to keep him here until he dies, in prison of course. (Attempted vehicular homicide). Perhaps one of the inmates may decide to shorten his longevity.

He is a flight risk. He should be held without bail.
And somewhere in that jail, he should just disappear.

CORRECT-a-mundo! I’d love to know the voting record on the family.

Questions of the Ages, no? Same could be asked re: rise of Nazi Germany.

The clip of (what’s her name) on the ‘silent majority vs. terrorism’ should be shown to anyone willing to watch. Subject matter might change...not the point.

I’m pretty sure I DO know the voting record of the family - instead of passionately condemning the lax policies and porous borders that led to this animal mowing down his son, the father was almost apologetic in saying, “Well now really, it it’s somebody who won’t follow the rules, that just not OK,” as if that was really going out on a limb for him to say that.
