Almost all the fighters at the crucial moments during Kobane were women. Only a few men were there. Those women understood what they were facing if ISIS captured then. Totally understood.
They never never gave up. Casualties were high, little food, water, ammo and the continued. Only a fool discounts that kind of courage.
I know some of them. I watched it and was sick at what was happening.
Finally the USAF gave them air cover and dropped supplies some small arms and ammo. That is it.
Soon after the initial repelling of ISIS some Kurd from Iraq and from across Syria came and helped. It was an incredible thing to watch happen. (not seen on TV)
Nobody should shame them. EVER.

There’s nothing like the smell of rotting ISIS bodies in the morning; it smells like ... victory.
They’re an amazing people from all I’ve read and gathered ...even since the Iraq war. Fearless hardly states it fro the stories I’ve read. I also understand our military has a high regard for them as well.
I’ve enjoyed posting photos of the women warriors of the Kurds in the past......and the idea that ISIS gets killed by a women is insufferable for Isis!
I hope when all the dust clears that at some point the Kurds have their own real estate as they hope for....nobody has fought and died for it as much as they have for decades!
