Where have you been? They just took Tabqa City and the Dam. It took 50 days, this is urban warefare.

And that town was over 75,000 people to begin with.

Not sure how many ISIS were there. They are fighting terrorists. As bad as the Nazi’s were in WWII or worse.

Raqqa was 340,000 people before ISIS took it. They have had 3 years to dig in. And I’m sure they have.

By the way, AMN is in Damascus, it mirrors the Assad military’s perspective.

Have you seen a single battle video on the media in the US?

Not one.

They did very well. Mattis has a smile on his face.

And they are simply good people. Very rare thing in the Middle East.

I understand what you said.

But I know some of these people. I simply don’t feel that way. Not all the players in the Middle East are the same.

It would take some time for me to explain that to you.

USAF strikes ended the engagement.

The only people who hate the A-10 more than ISIS is the USAF brass.

The Commander in Chief would do well to restart production...

...for The Marines!

Yes, send all ISIS vermin straight to hell.

But remember, there are some local conscripts that were forced to join them at the end of a gun. If they did not, they were shot.

That division took place in Tabqa city. There were gunfights between those who wanted to surrender (locals) and those who were hardcore, mostly foreign fighters.

I’ve had these conversations with people there who understand totally what has been happening. It is like what I said to some extent.

I suppose since the time of their Salahaddine the Kurds have dreamed of having their own homeland. Now, Kurds in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey have a chance to dream no more. It seems that the US is poised to close Incirlik in Turkey and enlarge the existing base north of Irbil in Iraqi Kurdistan. In doing so the US will practically guarantee the creation of an independent Kurdistan. The Kurds remember with great affection the no-fly zone the US imposed during the reign of Saddam Hussein, and they then began the creation of a mini-nation state. Now, if Washington backs the Kurds they will have their nation. And for the doubters, given its hydrocarbon resources a Kurdistan would flourish economically.
