Cruz led the drive to repeal Obamcare. This is a replace Obamacare. Will his solutions find enough support among people like Collins and McCain and Murkowski and Capito Graham? The GOP can only afford to lose three votes.

It's a bit hard to see Planned Parenthood getting defunded in this situation, that's what Collins might hold back on. Also, it was posted in another thread, there is the chance 2 Democratic Senators, Heitkamp-ND and Joe Manchin-W Va. could possibly join the Republican side.

I haven't heard any real stirrings that Graham and McCain are against a healthcare bill and would cross over to the Democrats.

It is a bit of a no win situation OR maybe a win can be put together somehow, Planned Parenthood might have funds slashed but not totally.

We’ll lose Collins and Murkowski, and Flake and Sasse are potential trouble, but could be bought off. I would like very much to be able to get Manchin and/or Heitkamp in, even if it means they get another highway or something. This is one instance where earmarks could be useful.

Munchkin is facing re-election next year. It will be interesting to see if he tries pretending to be a conservative (It's a trap. Don't let him fool you.) or just doubles down on stupid.

Not on this one. Manchin has too many constituents benefitting from Obamacare's Medicaid expansion. He can oppose Trumpcare and it won't hurt him next year. Heitkamp is in the same boat and has already indicated she'll vote against it. I don't see a single Democrat vote.

It has, in the past few days, become abundantly clear that McCain has declared war against our President. He is creating roadblocks to every initiative that the President wants/needs to achieve.

I sincerely hope that the senile old bastard is about to learn just how different the authority is between a senior and powerful long-term Senator is from a sitting, duly elected, United States President.

ESAD McCain!
