Just let it be known that police will not enforce laws concerning no license plates on vehicles within a mile of demonstrations.

It might be fun to build a 500 dollar demo derby car to take for a spin there as long as it had a good engine and trans. There are a lot of good old boys there who know how to build a car like that very, very well. Maybe an ex cop car with bull bars would be appropriate.

They should also include violent protests where the driver fears for his safety and has to run over the protesters to get out of the area.

Awesome. That is a proper reaction to false imprisonment initiated by the thug in the road.

A better law would require police to arrest ‘protesters’ who block roads - and sets up a ‘contempt of court’ situation that requires a thousand dollars to get out of jail ...

I think the state of North Carolina has just found a way to retain the tourism revenue that it’s supposedly going to lose with all of these pro-tranny companies and sporting events pulling out. I’d take a road trip there during protest season (which seems to be year-round), for sure. My friends and I would develop some system of points for tagging protesters. Pantifas would definitely be worth more points than, say, your garden variety hipster. Chicks in silly pink hats wouldn’t count for nearly as much as they’d imagine (as usual).
Let the games begin.

Hmm...so it’s a kind of Make My Day law that puts the onus on the driver to prove he had no choice. Lawsuits up the wazoo, and protestors given another reason to riot. Because the govt doesn’t want to have to confront the BLM morons and risk antagonizing the gibmedats. Basically you’re on your own, good luck with the consequences. But this little law might - MIGHT help save your butt if you run over the idiots.
Why not go all out and legalize mowing them down? Might keep them off the streets after a few incidents.

This bill does not allow for the driver of a vehicle to target protesters intentionally,Maybe once they know they're literally throwing their lives away, they won't go in the streets anymore. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I have seen a “protester” run over slap the side of a car with her hand and then throw herself to the pavement screaming. The fact that I saw it and walked over and said, “hey I saw that sh@t! caused two protesters to immediately leave the area.
