Gabby Giffords’ Gun Control Group Pushes Bullet-Proof Posters in Lieu of UBCs(T)

The posters appear to be made of bullet-proof drywall, which contains a Kevlar weave that will stop many–but not all–rounds from penetrating. The special drywall is a popular component in the construction of safe-rooms around the country.

Giffords’ ARS uses poster-sized pieces of the material, emblazoned with the words, “This post stops bullets because our gun laws can’t.” Other versions of the poster say, “In case of gunfire hide behind this poster.”

Seriously? Further signs of her diminshed mental capacity. Is she able to handle her own affairs? Thinkin' no on that one. Gee, in most cases, wouldn't that be grounds for denial of firearm possession? Then again, if you could get a contract in chitcago, you might be able to "take advantage" of system. ;-)

Borrow a couple and wear them like an old-fashioned sandwich board. Instant body armor.

What is she going to do to control knives? A grieving family in TX will be burying their 19 year old son, the victim of a stabbing at UT in Austin by a “mentally disturbed” murderer. With many mentally ill and/or drug addicted walking among us, there is no safe place in America.

They can’t be cheap. Will she send me a few hundred (for free) so I can build my own safe space?

How about controlling crazy people? There was one (1) (I) school shooting in the US before the Community Mental Health Act of 1963 deinstitutionalized crazy people.

That heartless opportunistic mutant prick Mark Kelly has had... has had, uh, total control of her since she was released from the hospital.

His mental obsession has long since gotten the best of him.

(BTW, do you know that back in the 0 administration, when the possibility of banning AR-pattern rifles was looming, Mark Kelly slyly walked into a gun store somewhere in Arizona and bought himself an AR?

Yes, he did. And someone in the gunstore was with it enough to know who Mark Kelly was, and contacted a friendly media outlet and told them about it.

A couple of days later, Mark Kelly was approached by someone who stuck a microphone in his face and said "Hey, Mark Kelly, how do you like that new AR-15 you bought from "Guns of Arizona" on "fillinthedate".

Never one to be caught flat footed, the good Captain Kelly replied, "Well, I, uh, I... I... bought that AR to donate to the local police."

And in fact within a day or two he did show up at the local police station and with great ceremony and fanfare donated a shiny, only slightly used, AR-15 to the cops.)

True story. A true profile in liberal hypocrisy.

I wonder how much those cost. I would be VERY happy to take their unneeded posters once they find out normal people still aren't convinced by their panicky rhetoric.

Don’t tell Gabby these are available as helmets.

Her head will explode.

“This post stops bullets because our gun laws can’t.”

But will it stop a knife? I’ve read knives go right through.

UBC = Universal Background Check.

Wow, I’ll have to go buy some and my boys and I can test it with our different guns. A science fair project one is already planning is to see through how many walls of sheetrock a bullet can travel.

Hmmm. I know I saw the test on one of the gun websites. A lot of bullets can penetrate a lot of layers of sheet rock. Found one for .22s plus there are a bunch more:

BorrowGet a couple and shoot the petunias out of them, and wear them like an old-fashioned sandwich board, as proof of another example of Daffy Gabby's fake and fraudulent propaganda that can get people killed if they believe it.

[Fixed!]

Yep, that is more or less what he is planning. With 22 and others. Always surprising how many walls things can go through. Back in high school my brother and I once shot up an old abandoned car with our .50 and .54 cal black powder rifles to see what they would penetrate. Then about everything but the engine block. People standing behind car doors don’t get much protection.

Seriously? So if some dumb ass actually would grab a poster when someone was shooting and the bullet penetrated the poster could they sue Gifford’s into Oblivion?

It’d be easier just to have the poster say “Shoot At Me” because that’s what is going to happen. Bullet holes in such a thing are a form of ironic commentary that seems to be very popular these days.

“People standing behind car doors don’t get much protection.” What! But it works in the movies and on tv. LOL!
