I don’t need a purse for my Glock!

“He’s a singer, record producer and fashion mogul who, according to Essence, is a “leader in disregarding societal norms when it comes to style.”.......

He’s also an idiot who is probably of the “gay” variety. I’ll carry my wallet, thank you.

We called ‘em fag bags back in the 70’s when socialist, feminine teachers started carrying them

Is this really a new thing? The TV show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” was on TV over 10 years ago, as I recall. And I hear Netflix is going to revive that show.

So it’s nothing new to have homosexual fashion design people trying to force feed their ideas onto men.

I’d love to find a good “man purse” in which I could carry my wallet, glasses, iPad, etc. instead of loading up my hands and various pockets to the point where I can hardly walk.

Haven’t found one yet, mostly ‘cause they’re mostly too poufy for my taste.
cheers
Jim

Men have purses! BIG ones.
They are called back packs & tool pouches, tool & tackle boxes, and pickup trucks.

Yawl snowflakes can keep the Gucci’s

Don’t worry about it for the millennial generation has already erased all aspects of manhood from their society. Genders are now neutral and you can be what you want, when you want and where you want.

The millennial generation is human tofu and takes on the flavor of anything it is exposed to.

Manhood in this generation has been politically and socially castrated and now the next step is to make men have babies...so they try...with no avail.

I don’t understand how in [Current Year] it’s still a big deal whether a man carries a bag.

Men and women are at their best when they celebrate, rather than obscure, their unique qualities - in actions, manner and dress.

I agree. I like it when the woman in my life will be that way.

I enjoy when she wears pretty dresses and high heels as we go out somewhere. I enjoy her ensemble if she has nice necklaces or a matching clutch or purse to go with her outfit. I enjoy her nice perfume. She has some nice earrings which really add to her lovely appearance.

As an older male, I DO sometimes have to carry a bag because sometimes cargo pants and/or a vest aren’t appropriate. I need something to hold my pipe kit or cigar tubes, extra mags, mini-med kit, flashlight, phone, etc.

My pants pockets comfortably carry everything I need daily.

We used to call ‘em “haversacks”. :-)

Usually made out of canvas.

Fashion designers have tried that before. IIRC, in the 70s or 80s they showed designed of males carrying purses — and males wearing skirts. Neither trend really caught on.

There is a long history, though.

Middle Ages - Girdle Pouches
Renaissance - Swete Bagges
Renaissance - Satchel
Industrial Revolution - Briefcase [resembling what we call a Doctor’s bag]
World Wars - Bread Bag
Modern Times - Messenger Bag
Recent - Man Bag

Already posted in 2010. :-)

With all the stuff a guy needs to carry, has the man purse's time arrived?

Put on a tie and carry a briefcase. No one questions a man with a tie carrying a briefcase, even if all you carry is your Activia yogurt and a copy of Cosmo.

Get a laptop computer bag even if you have to buy a $20 broken laptop to carry in it. You can shove anything you want into the bag just so long as you do have a computer in it. (Checking mine: electronics catalog, check book, phone, a netbook to keep my laptop company when I'm gone, USB hub and a network cable)

When you have to carry a wallet, a key ring full of electronic fobs, a phone, and a pistol your pockets get lumpy and it isn’t a good look. Still not going to carry a purse. I’ll just be lumpy I guess.
