President Schumer agrees to bill funding Obamacare, abortionists, but no wall
American Thinker ^ | 05/01/2017 | Ed Straker

The President and Congress agreed to a spending bill to get the government through to September. President Chuck Schumer said:

This agreement is a good agreement for the American people and takes the threat of a government shutdown off the table,” said... Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.). “The bill ensures taxpayer dollars aren’t used to fund an ineffective border wall, excludes poison pill riders and increases investments in programs that the middle class relies on, like medical research, education and infrastructure.”

Since Republicans lost the presidency and the Congress in the last election, it is no surprise that this spending bill hewed closely to the Democratic agenda. Republicans had tried to include funding for a border wall, but since they are in the minority in Congress they didn't have the power to push it through.

Perfect article. If the Republicans screw us over this go round, they need to be primaried. If not, then the swamp can bubble over because there is no difference between the parties. No use wasting life/time on voting for and supporting people who aren’t going to do what they promised anyway.

I was looking at a Gallup poll, 76% want abortion used only in certain circumstances, or never. Let the Dems shut the damn government down over Planned Parenthood and let them live with it!

Someone stated the other day that Republicans vote to get re-elected, while Dems vote to have power. Sounds right to me.

I was reading a NYT summary of the bill and after quoting Pelosi and Schumer extensively, it stated, “As of Sunday evening, neither Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader, nor the House speaker, Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin, had issued statements appraising the agreement.”

Lol. Weasels can’t even come up with spin for this crap.

This sounds very much like what I said, Rather than Ryan and McConnell, it appears that they are acting as if we’ve elected Chuck Schumer to the White House.

I see the Democrats are in the majority again.

How many people complain you are hurting the party if you will not vote for a Rino???? No difference between rinos and democrats....just like conservatives tell people over and over. This is why they stay home on election day.

Voting rino has destroyed republicans.

“Carl Schaumberg, the long-standing Democratic Congressman from New York who was on the House Committee for Criminal Justice, leaned against the wall and smiled also. The effect, however, was not nearly so pleasant as with Helen Schule or Harrison Potter. Schoolmates when Schaumberg was a child had tagged him with the nickname ‘lizard face’, and as he had aged his visage had grown only more reptilian in appearance. He was the only person in the room who had specifically asked to be included on the task force.”

“I see the Democrats are in the majority again.”.....

Obviously the rino’s handed it to them on a silver platter.

All of us who vote need to remember completely what the rinos have failed to do come the next election. I truly hope there will be something left to salvage. Hopefully there will be some new conservatives coming along who will do the job we voters send them to do.

Those two weasels would much prefer a Pres Schumer. That way they could continue their charade of pretending to be conservative and demanding conservative solutions to this and that - knowing it’s all part of the show. Now it’s live bullets and they’re running for the hills.

Here we go again. I reiterate:

Posted this on another thread; fits here too:

Okay you guys, calm down. Withdraw fangs. This budget is for this past year. In September a real budget for FY 2018 will be submitted. It will not be a Continuing Resolution, but a real, actual budget, and therefore different rules apply. The Dems won’t be able to block diddley squat in September’s new FY Budget, and then Pres Trump will get his full funding for The Wall, and the Dems won’t be able to stop it.
That’s approximately 4 months from now folks, so keep your big boy pants on, it’s only 4 months until you will get what you want, and in the interim, the finalists of the bids to build The Wall will be chosen, models of each submission will be built at finalists’ expense, the winner(s) will be chosen, and then the real Wall can start to be built at the end of this year. A Christmas present, as it were.
So the next 4 months will be occupied by these necessary steps and will fly by. Then The Wall gets funded in a real budget for FY 2018, and you will all have what you want. Trump knows all this, and knows he will get The Wall funded in September, so he and his Admin are not all bent out of shape like too many of you folks are.
Develop a little patience for heaven sakes. Trump has been in office 3 months; you got that, 3 months. In September when The Wall will be funded, unimpeded by Dem shenanigans, it will only have been 7 months Trump will have been in office. So basically, cool your jets, relax, any concessions that Trump/Pubs have to make now, will be corrected and funded in September.
And that’s when PP can be dealt with, the EPA, and anything else that needs to funded, or defunded. You are not waiting for an eternity; you are waiting until September of this year. Sheesh.
