The University of Missouri School of Medicine is facing the loss of its accreditation because they have too many white students and faculty.
The media is acting like this is perfectly reasonable.

STAT, a national publication that covers health, medicine and science, came out Wednesday with a lengthy story on the medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia and it isn’t pretty.
The publication says the med school is in danger of losing its accreditation next year because it has so few minority students and faculty.
Note, if they lose their accreditation, STAT says their degrees would be "rendered essentially worthless."
STAT notes that the current first-year class has only five black students out of a total of 104. In 2015, there were two, it says, and in 2014 just one.
Dr. Patrice “Patrick” Delafontaine, dean of the med school, tells STAT it’s an issue the school has to deal with, but STAT says interviews it conducted with more than half a dozen current and former students “described a campus that has made it harder for them to succeed.”
“Some said that MU’s lack of diversity means they are more likely to be mistaken for a janitor, to be singled out for ID checks by campus security, or to hear physicians make off-handed remarks about patients of color,” STAT writes. “They said it was more difficult for them to thrive here than white students. They said they have dealt with subtle and overt displays of racism. And some have questioned whether they made a mistake deciding to attend the school.”
The med school has been cited twice before, in 2001 and 2008, by the national accreditation organization, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). And as STAT points out, the LCME has cited nearly half of all medical schools in the United States for lacking diversity.
"Lacking diversity" means "being too white."
This Soviet-style committee is going around threatening "nearly half of all medical schools" with losing their accreditation for being too white.
I'm sure when most people go on the operating table, what matters most to them is not knowing they have the best doctor, but instead knowing that their doctor's medical school did all they could to aggressively battle "systemic racism."

I don’t think a school (or anything else) would ever be penalized for being too black or too Hispanic or too Indian or Oriental.
When I lived in Garden City, KS, there was only a handful of Blacks in the entire city.
Once a Black man robbed a store. All the cops had to do was check where 3 or 4 people were at the time of the robbery and caught him. Sort of amusing but I think it was actually true.
There have been complaints in CA about too many Asians in the universities.

Who accredits the accreditation agencies?
It might be way past time to drain that section of swamp.
The national accreditation organization, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), is a racist, leftwing organization.
How many black applicant in those years? What were their test scores compared to others those years? And, how many from India?
Just tell everyone you’re closing down. Why even deal with these idiots? Just shut it down. Let the students, parents, and health organizations burn the accreditation organization to the ground.

What we need is more black privilege; an affirmative action black track, if you will, to allow sub-qualified Africans to get in and get through medical school in a less rigorous curriculum.
No, it probably doesn't have enough of the favored minorities.
I seriously doubt that they are turning away any non-white/non-Asian [legal] applicants that are anywhere near or above the mean MCATs of any entering class of students.
The med school should start blaming "schools of education" for the lack of academically fit minority applicants.

Indians are qualified, the blacks are affirmative action recruits. I have worked with Indians, both Asian and American. Both are good students and hard workers. Attempts with Africans have been futile with but a rare exception.
LOL...a day or two ago, the news was Mizzou is closing THREE entire dorms due to declining enrollment caused by all the BLM ruckus last summer. With whites fleeing in droves, maybe they can make the med school 100% diverse. Then they could cite the 100% diverse school for insufficient diversity.

They should. If these folks want to play the blame game, open up right back on them. Blame the black community who is more jnterested jn reparations from whitey, rap music and not studying hard because in their own words, its acting white.
