Sen. Chuck Schumer blames Trump for partisan roadblock: ‘He doesn’t consult us at all’
Washington Times ^ | Apr. 30, 2017 | S.A. Miller

Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer said President Trump has made little progress on legislation because he pushed a “hard-right” agenda and refused to work with Democrats. “On the issue so fare — taxes and health care — he doesn’t consult us at all,” Mr. Schumer said on “Fox News Sunday.” “He puts together a plan that is very hard-right, special interest [and] wealth oriented and says the way to be bipartisan is to just support his plan. That’s not the way America works.”

“On so many of the major issues, they’ve gone at it alone,” said the New York Democrat.

Earlier Sunday, Mr. Trump tweeted that Democrats had become the “party of obstruction.”

The president said the Democrats were marching in lockstep against every proposal he made for purely political reasons, despite the potential to do something good for the American people.

Why should he? You don't listen anyway. You play politics while all of out here in the field wait for you clods to do something. He, like us, is tired of you guys. Get out of the way and let him get things done.

Why go to someone for ideas if you already know their ideas are going to be bad???

Not so....they’re never shut out from committees or congressional sessions. However....take a look and see how many even show up. What a farce.

Democrats never have anything constructive to add, so why waste the time asking their opinions?

If they loved America and wanted what’s best for the long-term success of this country they might be worth a chat. But they don’t, so they aren’t.

“You don’t like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election. Push to change it. But don’t break it. Don’t break what our predecessors spent over two centuries building. That’s not being faithful to what this country’s about.”

Welcome to the minority Schumer.

He doesn’t have to, and you folks have telegraphed you’re not even in the same universe with reality.

See, your disruption hurt your position.

Who tried to tell you folks you were marginalizing yourselves?

We did.

They will never work with him so why bother. Their plan is to get in the way block everything, win back the House and Senate in 2018, then be a pain form Trump, have him be a failure and take back the WH in 2020.

So why suck up and play nice to somebody that will always say no. Why weaken your stance sucking up to these bums.

Now if the GOP can get on board, we can crush this party and put them next to the Wiggs with their super jerk left, Bernie babies and Antifa

Don’t listen to a word he says. Schumer has already said he is fighting Trump at every turn. He has no intentions of helping Trump anywhere. Schumer is not for America or his constituents. Schumer is for the Democrat party first. His whole life is dedicated to stopping Republicans even if it hurts America.

Schumer, he is correct. You guys have always obstructed when you didn’t get your way. And, as someone has already posted, you don’t consult conservatives on anything except to tell them how much you despise them. Stay alive, Chuck, long enough for us to get leadership in place who will prosecute and hang you for treason.

I wouldn’t waste my time talking to Schmucky or any of the other Demoncrats in Congress. They’ve already proven they’re not interested in promoting a true AMERICAN agenda. If we’re gonna have any chance of saving this country it’s best to keep the Democrats out of the discussion.
