A Cocktail ‘Coup’ in the East Village(Anti-Trump bar?)

Located in the Manhattan’s East Village, the anti-Trump resistance now has a chic “protest-themed” place to seek adult libation. A small, intimate venue done up in brown and blue, Coup is an up-to-the-minute watering hole owned and operated by liberals who claim everyone is welcome, but whose sole purpose is to appeal to progressives who have a strong aversion to President Trump and his policies.

“A coup, or more formally, a coup d’état, is generally defined as a seizure of a state by members of the military, or other figures high-up in a national government,” which makes one wonder how the name applies to pickled progressives on bar stools crying in their beer because they lost an election.

Nevertheless, until the 45th President of the United States is back in Trump Towers for good, if thirsty members of the resistance need a place to vent their frustration they can “#drinkwithpurpose” @coupnyc.

As if libs needed a reason to get drunk. Most of their lives are spent in a stupor of one kind or another.

Another example of how Pres Trump is stimulating the economy? Some triggered snowflakes figured a way to profit on their drama and are gainfully employed, it’s all good!!

Almost every saloon in the District of Corruption fits this description too.

Imagine an evening in an anti-Trump bar.

Angry drunks becoming increasingly nasty.

Plus, these cheapskates don't tip worth a damn.

Hmmm.... I’m surprised they weren’t more chic and called it “Che Coup” for their favorite cool revolutionary and murder Che Guevara. It probably already exists, copyright infringement type of thing you know.....

If they were in a stupor I wouldn't mind them so much. Most libs I encounter these days are in a state of agitation.

They were largely asleep during the 8 years of Obama only momentarily rousing themselves for his re-election. Having a fellow traveler in the White House really allowed them to mentally check-out for a while . . . which is really all they want but with Trump at the helm they won't allow themselves that luxury.

I heard this story on FOXNEWS Radio. The first words out of my mouth were: “Why the hell would you give them a second of free advertising?.....Fair and Balanced my @$$.”

strong aversion to President Trump and his policies.
They were against his policies before trump even mentioned them. It is irresponsibility that drives these idiots.

In the 1980’s there was a bar in the East Village on the bad side of Tompkins Park called “8 BC” (on 8th Street between Avenue B and Avenue C) that featured live bands and such - I saw “They Might Be Giants” there. As one might expect from the location, it was truly a dump, but what I remember the most was the bizarre decor inside (to go along with the dirt floor) - including a string of about a dozen smiling Ronald Reagan blow-up dolls, hand-in-hand, all along one of the walls. There wasn’t exactly an anti-Reagan theme to the place, but it was clear the proprietors weren’t especially pleased with his presidency.

So in that venue at least Trump’s in good company.

We need an international effort to stamp out the production and trade...

Did I ever tell you about the time I landed in Bosnia under a hail of those things?

Maybe they can be appeased by having Ivanka and Jared return to NY.
