EU Adds Cost of Migrants in Turkey to Brexit Bill

The bill for Britain’s Brexit divorce settlement is growing ever longer, with leaders in Brussels now saying that Britain should continue to pick up a portion of the tab for migrants living in Turkey beyond accession. Initial demands that Britain should pay into the European Union’s seven-year Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) until it expires at the end of 2020 – a year after Brexit – have since expanded to include references to “issues resulting from” the budget, as well as those related to the European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Development Fund (EDF).

German representatives are now suggesting that “issues” may include the Facility for Refugees, paid to Turkey, which currently stands at some €3 billion, of which €1.5 billion has already been allocated and €777 million spent.

The member states are insisting that a financial settlement is reached before addressing questions of trade.

A senior EU official has admitted that it is impossible to calculate the full cost of “political commitments”, but warned that the other member states were determined to present a united front on the question of finance.

Did Merkel consult anyone on her invitation to migrants? I doubt it. She needs to pay for her own errors of judgment and there are many.

Merkel and the EU should receive daily bills for the
pain and suffering they have wrought through
thousands and thousands of rapes and murders.

They should just walk and forget any “bill” for Brexit.

What are the Germans going to do? Invade?

As usual Britain will have to blockade Europe and defeat them in a land battle to get them to be sensible.

The EU is such a Fluster Cuck! The UK should just say:”we’re gone, tough toenails!” Otherwise this pack of Continental Commies will bleed the UK for all it’s worth. This “fledgling attempt at one world government” is a total failure.

That’s what she gets for going the Article 50 route. Should have invoked rebus sic stantibus instead and produced a list of the many treaty violations on the EU’s part.

Divorces are messy.

It might be cheaper for Great Britain to declare war on Germany.

Just as a negotiation ploy, you understand.

Time for Theresa May to exercise her middle finger.

Exactly. Read between the lines.

And Britain can tell Brussels to pound sand. Sovereign means sovereign!

I thought about it for a minute, and “divorce” fits perfectly.

So what happens if Great Britain just says no, we are not going to pay your extortion, we are not staying, we are gone. Guess they could try to refuse all trade, and maybe travel rights? But they could trade easily with Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Canada, US as well as Asia.

How about no.

It was those kind of policies that helped obtain the Brexit, and Merkel wants the U.K. to pay for policies it is ridding itself of? She’s nuts.
