DENVER - Even during his candidacy, President Trump was seen as a gun-friendly candidate.
He picked up the National Rifle Association's endorsement at the 2016 NRA convention.
As Trump spoke to the NRA on Friday, there was some evidence his friendly stance towards gun owners may be leading to slowing sales.
It is well documented that when gun owners feel their 2nd Amendment rights are threatened, gun sales skyrocket.

Has nothing to do with Trump.
It is because Obama and the ComDems are out of power.
I do not expect gun and ammo sales to collapse. It will be lower than the past 8 years. And I expect prices to come down a bit.
I’m pushing 70. Still like to shoot and reload. Love to hunt quail.
Reducing gun sales - yet another thing that Trump has accomplished in his first 100 days that 0bama couldn’t accomplish in 8 years!

It’s because POS Obama, the best gun salesman ever, is gone.
Besides, most people are pretty well stocked up and pricing or waiting for prices to drop before they buy.
While there are a dozen guns i would like to buy i am comfortable with what i have. Given i now shoot 100-150 rounds weekly i will be using the “no more guns savings” on ammo and more training.
When lefties get afraid they loudly riot.
When righties get afraid they quietly buy armaments.
That’s smart.
Armaments and optics.
Now ammo. Because those dang zombies aren’t gonna kill themselves.
The side benefit of his election - many Democrats now support gun ownership AND the gun industry by buying them.
A good time to stock up on some ammo.
Makes total sense. We bought enough before zero got them. Now the need is to sight them in and run a few rounds thru to find the sweet spot. I bet reloaders and ingredient sales are up now. Cyclical. Let a gun grabber gain national power again and I would wager that gun sales show an uptick.
Yes. But more importantly than simply buying, righties use.
And maintain.
Well then liberals should STFU for a while and give the rest of us some peace and quiet for a change. All the hysteria has us so burnt out we don’t care what they are protesting anymore. It’s all just noise pollution which they SHOULD care about given the environment and all.
