On April 25 California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom used a tweet to call out the NRA and suggests lives being saved by gun control.
His tweet came on the same day Breitbart News reported that the NRA had launched what promises to be the first of many lawsuits designed to challenge California gun control laws. The Los Angeles Times reports that the NRA has a “series” of suits planned now that Neil Gorsuch is seated on the Supreme Court.
Newsom’s tweet appears to be an attempt to convince the NRA that gun control has already won the day. He wrote:

That is NOT what “calling out” the NRA looks like.
The NRA Convention is in ATL this weekend...maybe one of

A lot of criminals and thugs are alive today because of gun control.
I hear they are trying to fill holes in the oroville dam spillway. I nominate Gavin Newsome to step up and cement himself into this process.

Gavin Newsom (”Any Twosome Newsom” as Savage calls him) went form SF Mayor to Lt Governor. He set his sights long ago on the CA Governorship to be followed by a bid for the U.S. Presidency.
He’s as Leftist as they come. No principles, just more government and more LGBT.
His problem is he’s a guy (the Left is generally anti-male) and he’s white. Two strikes as far as the Lying left is concerned. I hope his plans fail unless he converts, becomes a Christian, and becomes a Constitution-loving fighter for freedom. Not likely but anything’s possible. Until then, we should stand opposed to this Enemy in Waiting.

I’d ask, “What percentage of HOMICIDES are committed by LEGALLY LICENSED, law abiding, REGISTERED gun owners?
The “gun grabbers” do put a lot of effort into dis-arming the LEGAL gun owners, but seem to ignore the existence of the Chicago type gun shooters.
A right not exercised is a right lost. My recommendation? Everyone should go buy a gun.

And I’d respond: Where in the Second Amendment do you find the authority for licensing or registering gun owners or their firearms? Using their terms gives them legitimacy in the argument - cede the gun grabbers no such ground to stand on to make their argument. Make them define their terms and don’t accept those definitions as legitimate due to no such Constitutional authority.
