I believe that serious sweating exercise everyday can solve a multitude of physical and mental ills.
But, hey, I was always crazy...and it doesn't help me.;-)

As an aside, yoga is great for stretching.
Do it often.
It is NOT exercise.

You could also go the curry route..but you will really stink as you sweat.

I love curry. And my cats tell me that I even stink without it.
Seriously though...I think curry is healthy.
Isn't it?
To: pax_et_bonum
I hear that catching it is even better. Good for the heart.
Of course, I wouldn't know from experience.

I’m not sure I want to live too long but I have a horror of dementia. So far, I’m living my New Year’s resolution of daily exercise. 115 days gone, 2,003 miles on my bike at about 166 hours. Now if I can only keep this up through the Florida summer swelter!

I do turmeric pills..probably not as good as cooking with curry for Inflammation and Alzheimer issues.
I think a lot is based on indian population having low incident rates

Sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the good work.

6+ mile power walk every other day.
Also gets me out of the house which may be the real reason for longevity ;-)

Does favoring curry mean the same as currying favor?
To: RummyChick
I love Indian food...have some good local friends (more like family) who are Indian doctors.
Have to order good curry sauce from Amazon. Or go to Jacksonville.
To: llevrok
Sounds great. Keep it up.

I think currying favor has its etymology in the "currying of horses"...
I had a horse growing up. My best friend. My true love.
I curried him every day.
There weren't any favors attached though.
I hope I get to spend eternity in heaven currying my horse...and my cats.
That's true love.
To: RoosterRedux
I think I may need to pick up the pace a bit.

I take turmeric pills, too. I think it’s the essential element in curry.
Also, I don’t run because as you get older it’s bad for the knees. But I walk the dogs every day, and work around the place clipping branches, raking, and so on.

My cats say, "I would recognize my Dad anywhere...smell him coming."
I still think I smell better than their litter box.
That said, I guess odors are all relative.
And cats have sensitive senses of smell. Or so I am told.;-)
