President Trump on Tuesday insisted he's fully committed to building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, one day after saying he was open to waiting until the fall to get funding for the wall.
"Don't let the fake media tell you that I have changed my position on the WALL," Trump tweeted. "It will get built and help stop drugs, human trafficking etc."

The government will shut down at midnight on April 28 if Congress cannot agree on a spending bill.
Democrats and some Republicans have voiced opposition to using the spending bill as a vehicle to begin funding the border wall.
If Trump punts his demand for border wall money now, it could lessen the chances of a government shutdown later this week.
Earlier Monday, the president reiterated that the wall was necessary to stop drugs from coming into the U.S.
"The wall is a very important tool in stopping drugs from pouring into our country and poisoning our youth (and many others)!" the president tweeted. He later added that without the wall, the "drug situation will NEVER be fixed the way it should be."
It’s really great to hear this because as much as I love him, if the wall is not built then I would not vote for him again.

If he doesn’t have some construction going on the wall by 2018, he will lose the House, and he can say adios to the rest of his program. Democrats will pass nothing for Pres. Trump.
This title is misleading. Democrats made all sorts of threats on the wall pertaining to this spending bill.

1) that's just how the liberals in the media want you to feel
2) how much money has already been set aside for the wall that DHS can start using?
3) calm down and let the process work; this problem didn't happen overnight, it sure as hell won't be solved in 100 days or less

It has to get started this summer or it won’t get started. Why? The dems will claim victory, which will give cover to the traitors who ran as conservatives but actually hate us. You’d think something like profits from selling assets of criminal invaders could be used to get it started.
This fiscal year budget is not normally available to the incoming President but he needs to make sure it is in the FY18 budget.

The Rats tactic appears to be to get Trump to break his campaign promises and therefore lose his base of support. Trump can not afford to punt on The Wall. Let the rats win on the wall now and the battle is over there will be no wall. Things will only get harder the closer to 2018 we get.
As long as there is plenty of demand for drugs, no wall of any size will stop them from entering the US.
I think what really bothers me, is I had two main reasons for deciding to back Trump, right from the start:
Trade deficit.
Border control.
He was PERFECT about both. Now in just 100 days, he has handed away our Trade deficit as an issue, to China, the major problem.
And now he’s handing the border wall away, “until September”.
THOSE WERE THE TWO REASONS I VOTED FOR YOU, TRUMP.

But as I understand it..he was also fooled by the Republicans on this issue.
