The biggest fuss was made last week over the Democratic National Committee's campaign stop for Omaha mayoral candidate Heath Mello. Progressive and pro-abortion groups fumed that Sen. Bernie Sanders dared to step onstage with Mello - all because he once voted for pro-life legislation. The DNC is now insisting that the event was all Sanders's idea.
The whole situation really sheds a light on how radical the Democratic Party has become. DNC Chair Tom Perez, eager to distance himself from Mello, said abortion rights are non-negotiable.
“Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health,” he said in a statement. “That is not negotiable and should not change city by city or state by state.”
Other high profile Democrats like Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) are also insisting the pro-life position is not one that squares with their platform. While he acknowledges his fellow Democrats are entitled to their own personal opinions, all Democrats must be prepared to defend Roe v. Wade "unequivocally."
"When it comes to the policy position, I think we need to be clear and unequivocal," Durbin said. "We need to be understanding of those who take a different position because of personal conscience. But as long as they are prepared to back the law, Roe. v. Wade, prepared to back women's rights as we define them under the law I think they can be part of the party."
Yet, ask House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and she'll tell you "of course" pro-lifers are welcome in the party. During her appearance on "Meet the Press" Sunday she explained that she's worked side-by-side with pro-life Democrats for years.
Pro-life Democrats (or at least those willing to vote for pro-life legislation), like Mello and Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, are not extinct. The party would do itself a service not to distance itself from such Democrats during its "unity tour."

They try to frame it saying “well, you don’t have to kill your OWN babies, but you have to support killing them in general.”

Well good for him. Repeated polling has shown for years that approximately half of Americans feel that abortion is morally wrong. If the Democrats want to write off the views of this many people then they do so at their own peril.
If this isn’t proof that she’s not only evil but also an idiot, than I don’t know what is.
IF you can’t decide...you have already decided.
In light of the fact that over half of America is pro-life, the Dems ought to be urgent, purposeful and merciless in ejecting all pro-life people from their ranks. And they should make it known that they do not want anything to do with pro-life voters.
Remember when the "kind-hearted and compassionate" Clintons (Bill was then-President) assured us that abortion would be "safe, legal and rare?"
The kindly compassionate Clintons "forgot" to mention that they themselves opened the gates so that Planned Parenthood could traffic (and profit) in baby body parts.

Since Clinton signed the National Institutes of Health Revitalization Act of 1993, “fetal-tissue research” has expanded into a federally subsidized multi-million dollar industry of selling human spare parts salvaged from abortions.
For example, the NIH budgeted $21 million in fiscal year 1999 for grants and awards for fetal tissue research. At the University of Washington, the NIH subsidizes the central laboratory for human embryology.
According to a lab notice obtained by WorldNetDaily, it “can supply tissue from normal or abnormal embryos and fetuses of desired gestational ages between 40 days to term. Specimens are obtained within minutes of passage, and tissues are aseptically identified, staged, and immediately processed according to the requirements of individual investigators.” The notice is signed by Alan G. Fantel of the department of pediatrics.
At the time, two organizations that profited from this growth industry were (the now defunct) Opening Lines, a business formerly located in West Frankfort, Illinois...... and Anatomic Gift Foundation, headquartered in Laurel, Maryland.
Opening Lines gives credit to President Clinton for opening up the lucrative business in fetal tissue trade.
According to Opening Lines, on January 22, 1993, Clinton lifted the moratorium on federal funding. “This action created a great demand for fetal tissue and has made possible the development of treatments for individuals afflicted with serious diseases and disorders,” says the sales brochure.
Both companies served as wholesalers for the marketing of baby body parts to researchers, drug companies, hospitals and universities. These groups harvest the baby parts from abortion clinics and ship them to their customers.
Opening Lines provides fetal tissue researchers with a “fee for service schedule,” which gives prices for each body part. For example, Opening Lines charged:

<><> $400 for an intact embryonic cadaver;
<><>$75 for 8-week-old baby's eyeballs (40% discount for a single eye);
<><>$150 for two arms or legs; and,
<><> $100 for the skin of a 12-week-old baby.
Americans already do, but a fetus is a unique human being that temporarily lives inside its mother's body, but it's not a part of her body. A DNA test would prove that. Also, in almost all cases, the mother chose to put it there.
Oh, they can decide; in fact, they did years ago. This is just their version of changing “abortion” to “choice.” Keep it vague. But we know.
