Sessions: Improper Tax Credit Payments to ‘Mostly Mexicans’ Could Fund Border Wall
Breitbart.com ^ | 23 Apr 2017 | Pam Key

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said President Donald Trump’s proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall could be paid for with improperly paid tax credits that go to “mostly Mexicans.”

...

SESSIONS: The Department of Treasury, several years ago, under the Obama administration, said that if you change the regulations and enforced it properly, you would save up to $4 billion a year.

There are other things that we can do at the border to create revenue that would pay for the wall. There’s no doubt about that.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But in your discussions with your counterparts in Mexico, they have given no indication at all that the Mexican government is prepared to pay a single cent for this wall (INAUDIBLE)?

SESSIONS: Well, I don’t expect the Mexican government to appropriate money for it. But there are ways that we can deal with our trade situation to create the revenue for it. No doubt about it.

And this is just a single source of ill-gotten taxpayer dollars by illegals.

I had a feeling that something like this was behind DJT’s assertion that “Mexico will pay for the wall.”

I think he was being clued in to this angle by insiders who know the facts.

Billions of our hard-earned Middle Class tax dollars find their way to drop boxes in Mexico in EITC fraud, supposedly going to fictitious “nephews” and “nieces” across the border, none of whom are ever verified. Texas auto dealers love this time of year when Mexicans come to buy new trucks with that fraudulent EITC cash in hand.

Why wouldn’t they appropriate?

The average cost for public education is about $10k a year per child.

100,000 kids a year would be another $1 billion.

And how is correcting a mistake on our part having Mexico pay for the wall?

Because the “mistake” being corrected means the 1 Billion or so now going to illegals would go towards the wall instead.

Forget just not improperly paying them to the tune of $4B per year—send them home and save billions and billions and billions a year in current and future welfare, education, and entitlement payments.

When assets are confiscated from drug dealers, the money doesn’t go into the general fund but rather ends up in a slush fund used for things Congress will not fund. The wall can become the Trump Administration’s “liberal” cause for asset forfeiture funds.

And I will ask again, how is that Mexico paying for the wall?

What will we get back on the dollar if we pay for the wall.

Already, Mexicans are no longer coning in droves as in the free for all of the Obama years.

There's not a soul on earth who expected Mexico to write a check and say....Here President Trump....here's the money for the wall.

"Payment" comes in many forms!

Money is fungible.

Or "a penny saved is a penny earned," as old Ben put it.

The EITC scam has been rampant for years. I work construction in Southern California and it's well known that many use this credit fraudulently. As far as I know there is no verification system in place to confirm the dependents claimed, and to add insult to injury the same individuals who claim the credit wind up paying no Federal or State income taxes and receive thousands upon thousands of dollars from the Treasury Department of OUR tax money in the form of a refund.

In one case the individual was unmarried and talks about his one child and his baby mama that lives with him. However, he claimed several dependents on his tax return, and bragged of receiving a refund check of over $14,000.00 which included the EITC and a full refund of the Federal and State income taxes that were withheld for the year. I believe he claimed 9 exemptions on his W4 form which would mean there were almost no taxes withheld from his pay checks.

Trying to explain dynamic scoring to a liberal is like trying to teach a fish to eat with chop sticks - you just can’t do it.
