Someone was obviously using a potato field as their personal driving range.
According to a report at NBC News, McCain Foods of North Carolina is recalling frozen hash browns from stores in nine states because pieces of golf balls were found in the potatoes.
The recall notice said the golf balls were inadvertently harvested, meaning some old golf balls were scooped up, along with the potatoes, by the farming rig.

I read this and thought for a second John McCain was caught eating hash browns with golf balls in them. I thought, that makes no sense - even for McCain, but maybe it was to indicate he’s going senile.
McCain has balls?
that’s what makes it nice and chewy.. dang.
I wouldn’t putt up with it.

They are not golf balls but golf eggs!
I know that it is not healthy to eat Egg McMuffins but they really do taste good. That's one thing that McDonalds got right. Now I make my own Egg McMuffins at home, using swiss cheese, fried egg over easy and real slabs of bacon (not that "Canadian" bacon).
That guy who invented the Egg McMuffin is one of the greatest men that Earth ever produced.
Farmer’s fields are often located next to golf courses. If you hit a really bad slice, then your ball is will nestle among the crops.
It is crazy - after harvesting, potatoes pass by multiple people who remove culls (rotten, damaged, golf balls) & monitor sorting, washing, & loading.
For this to happen, someone had to take their eyes off the ball. Unless it’s a plant, sabotage.
IIRC, Granny cooked the golf eggs all day, and still too tough for Jethro to chew.
Nice

I had my first bacon, egg and cheese on toasted bread over sixty years ago.
Lol.
And what about those clubs for clubbing the golfs when they come out of those little holes and the spiked shoes for stomping on them.
Did they find a putter, too?
I had a seven putt there one day.
I read that as goof balls
