The bad rap fast food joints get is well-deserved in many cases. It's not just a liberal snob talking point. To get into all the reasons why would require a separate thread. But bottom line, think about the fast food business model. Their food is mass-produced to have a long shelf life. The ingredients are sourced with cost and not quality being the driving factor. The food is then mostly de-frosted, heated and assembled by low-skill workers and cooked in hydrogenated low-grade oils.
I don't fault fast food operators for their business model. It works and it feeds a large volume of people on the go at reasonable cost. Not everybody can afford a sit-down restaurant during lunch hour with premium ingredients and skilled cooks/chefs. I get that.
A fast food burger is a hella lot healthier than meatloaf in most cases.
Nope. It’s all indoc made up by the same people who’ve decided that laws must be passed to limit how much soda pop a citizen can be allowed to drink.
Just another manifestation of totalitarian scumbags desperately in need of a serious curb stomping.
Some conservatives allow themselves to be led down the wrong path in order to simply oppose liberals. For example, if a liberal wants to ban smokestacks along urban corridors, then the knee-jerk reaction of some conservatives is to propose building smokestacks all along I-95 from Maine to Florida, just to show that they ain't no damn liberal.
We should stop being so easily manipulated like this. There is nothing wrong with conservatives wanting to improve things like the environment or to eat better (at least for themselves). We just don't need the government involved and we don't need to pass more laws. We believe in free-enterprise and free-choice. So if people want to go to McDonalds everyday and drink soda pop in 64 oz increments, they can knock themselves out. I actually have stock in McDonalds so I encourage them to do so.
I agree with you on the meatloaf. I'd take a cheeseburger over meat loaf any day of the week. I hate meatloaf. Maybe it's because when I was growing up, my mother put all that red and green stuff in it that I never knew what it was.
They should have asked Lindsey
I didn’t say you were anything. I said the indoc is the same and we’ve all been subjected to it for decades now.
The entire attack on fast foods is by elitist snobs who simply do not like the idea of fast food and no one should be allowed anything they, the elitists, do not like.
That’s where the indoc comes from.
