Sarah Palin's treatment at Fox News: Ailes called her 'hot', Wallace hoped she would sit in his lap
CNN ^ | 04/23/2017

As Fox News continues to reel from the summary dismissal of its top star Bill O'Reilly this week and its creator, Roger Ailes earlier this year, a lot of attention has been given to women who worked there and whether they experienced any sort of harassment.

There was a very interesting exchange between Jake Tapper and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin during his interview with her on The Lead Thursday. Tapper asked, directly, what she experienced during her time working there as a commentator.

Palin, who left the network in June of 2015, didn't elaborate about her personal experiences, but she did say the Fox News culture needed to change.

She said she'd never put up with any sort of harassment. When Tapper asked if that's why she left, she said, "You can ask them why I'm no longer with Fox. You know, I'm not - I'm not going to speak for them. My contract wasn't renewed, that's the line." It doesn't take much online research to find evidence of questionable comments by Fox News executives and personalities aimed at Palin.

There was the time in 2010 when Don Imus of Fox Business asked Fox News Chris Wallace about an upcoming interview.

"When you interview her, will she be sitting on your lap?" asked a laughing Imus.

"One can only hope," said a laughing Chris Wallace.

Or, there are the comments of Roger Ailes, the Fox News godfather, who used this language in 2011 to describe why he brought her to the network: "I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings."

She is hot, no doubt about it. And she dresses to meet the standards of that roll. Nothing wrong with it.

Now when speaking of libtards, let’s take a look at Chelsea.

What would I rather look at? Hmmmm. It’s a real tough choice. I gotta think on this one for a while.

She is hot and Chris Wallace likely does dream of the prom queen on his lap. He’s such a dweeb. LOL!

So we lose O’Reilly because of this level of banter.

Talk about arbitrary censorship.

CNN needs to be wearing those goofy looking pussyhats when they do stories like this.

I don’t get it—If FOX was such a sexist sh!thole in which to work, why did all these strong, roaring women choose to remain there?

We don’t need a witch hunt to deal with sex related issues in this country.

Sarah Palin told CNN the truth of her own experience and avoided playing into the witch hunt.

Instead of trying to fight this Left vs. Right ‘gotcha game’
I prefer principled straightforward living that calls out the political and religious zealots and hypocrites.

We don’t need to feed a “Sharia Jihad” or a “Feminist Jihad” in this great country when it comes to sex related issues.

The First Amendment is under attack with sexual harassment, racism etc. etc. being the smoke screen.

Ann Coulter faces a tough situation at Berkley in a few days (April 27th).

I heard somewhere that it’s been suggested that the Trump Administration federalize the California National Guard to insure Ann’s First Amendment right is protected.

Yes, Sarah is beautiful but she isn't a shrinking violet. She's strong and can take care of herself. She's not going to play the victim for CNN or any other so-called news agency.

I could see her asking “how could I sit on your lap after I knocked you on your ass?”

No, O’Reilly is a foul man who clearly made the most of the foul Roger Ailes culture.

Very much like Hollywood has long been reported to be (without the charges of child sexual abuse).

Hannity is as widely reported to be a good guy as BOR is to be a bad guy. But we are all fallen and it wouldn’t shock me if Hannity too had fallen within the culture.

It is not a conservative thing to defend such behavior. Yes, the libs like to play this up, but this is bad behavior in what supposedly is “our” house that we shouldn’t condone or excuse.

And so far, it hasn’t led to more liberal hosts. In fact, with Tucker and Eric over Kelly and O’Reilly, the lineup has twice been moved to the right.
