By his twenties, Kyle Kaylor imagined he would be living on his own, nearing a college degree, and on his way to a job that fulfilled him.
Instead, at 21, he found himself out of school, living with his parents, and "stuck" working as a manager at a fast food restaurant scraping to make hand-to-mouth.
Launching into adulthood has been tricky, he said.
"It became too difficult financially to be in school and not working," says Kaylor, who dropped out of Lincoln Christian University, in Illinois, after one semester because of a money crunch. "And without schooling, you can't get a job that you can survive on, so I had to move back home," he said.

Good paint and body men seem to be in short supply.
I suggest the only thing that will save this nation is mandatory, military service of some length, at least 3 or 4 years.
Saying that, I hold so-called “leaders”, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al, responsible for the decline in this generation of Americans. What generation would have a decent chance with these traitors at the helm?
Heard a snippet of Rush today, saying that there are more millennials living with their parents than married and on their own.
Way to go, youts...
What, there are no participation trophies when applying for a job?
I have read over and over how Millennials think they will get a great job right out of college and thus didn’t PLAN otherwise.
They also seem to have a problem dealing with the hand they played and changing their own circumstances.
More likely— is that too many people are allowing/enabling them to remain perpetual children
Most of them have been coddled and pampered their entire lives.
“Managers” at a fast food place make more than $22,000 a year.
Flip side of that coin is that too many hiring managers have been brainwashed into believing you NEED a degree to do their job.
Fact of the matter is, in the vast majority of cases you do not.
The “Other” bar on that chart is really shooting up.
What does that represent? Lesbian Communes?
Interesting you should point that out. This is the second separate article posted today that seemingly warns of the dire consequences of not going to college.
Is it a coincidence that the corrupt MSM is floating these, “You must have college or you will fail in life” articles? Maybe it is a coincidence, but I suspect that with all the bad rap about the student’s who’s lives have been demolished by hundreds of thousands of unforgiving student loan debt, that the university empire is just now starting to strike back.
The article never does say what she has her degrees in. Obviously, it's something that she can't really use, like Women's Gender Studies or Queer Literature Theory or some such ...
>>What does that represent? Lesbian Communes?<<
Probably. Including lesbian transgendered communes.
According to chart, the “Other” category includes people who are living with relatives besides a spouse, such as siblings or grandparents, and nonrelatives such as roommates.
LOL! Just what this guy needs, more chemicals to alter his “brain”...
I dropped out when I turned 16 and got My DL. I’ve had many jobs and for the most part was higher up on the “brain chain” than most of My coworkers.
Never really found a use for any kind of Diploma in My travels.
I noticed that as well. It’s a pretty common refrain in articles like this. They always say so-in-so has X number of degrees BUT ‘can’t get a job’. They never say what the degrees are in.
Demand for “skilled” Feminist Haiku majors = 0
Modern colleges and universities aren’t sending us their best, are they folks!
I suggest the only thing that will save this nation is mandatory, military service of some length, at least 3 or 4 years.

This is something I stand 4 Square against. Sad sacks, spineless jellyfish, intellectually inbred thumb suckers, whiners, crybullies, gimme dats and depraved degenerates...
Keep em out of uniform.
What’s needed is a complete end to all socialism tax spending. It’d be a hard cull for a generation but after that things would settle out.
