I guess posters here missed kellyanne throwing shade at bannon...and praising Haberman.

We have a poster here who worked for Bush. I havent deduced who he is but it seems to me..intelligence.

He says leaks are very common for all sides.

Why people think this time would be different is beyond me.

I think some are uncomfortable with a Liberal Dem like Kushner being a Senior Advisor, having Trump’s ear. Sorry, it just makes some of us a little uncomfortable. Not a deal breaker though.

While it’s not proof of anything, many people (including JimRob) got very concerned (and rightly so) when Trump was feverishly pushing Ryancare with NO repeal, and taking cheap shots at the Freedom Caucus. Trump never mentioned this “Repeal and Replace” would be done in phases. Was this due to the Kushners? I don’t know, but it did cause some to pause.

Just some observations.

“I don’t know if they’re useful idiots or complicit.”

The same can be said about the morons defending Bannon.

It’s unclear if he’s ever done anything useful.

All we know is that he is a former Goldman Sachs exec who made money investing on Seinfeld.

Thanks LS. I appreciate the mention, and I’m glad to hear that.

The media has looked and looked for a way to chip away at Trump. Here they think they’ve found a wedge issue.

Ivanka and Jared are more leftist than we are. To what extent, I don’t think any of us know. Are they prevailing? I see no evidence of it.

Nobody else does either. When I ask, I don’t get straight answers.

We never said Ivanka was perfect. We appreciated the help she gave her dad during the campaign, and I continue to appreciate her efforts at her dad’s request.

We have gone through the Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama years, and I think some Conservatives are having a hard time grasping that the current president isn’t like those others.

He loves this nation. He has a fantastic agenda. He’s implementing it.

Instead of being relieved and praising him, some folks are looking desperately for some perceived infraction so they can feel relevant.

Trump is the answer to our prayers, and now we’re practically telling God no thanks.

I keep saying, tell me when these people do something wrong. I may join you in complaining.

So far, there just hasn’t been anything to complain about, that has moved into law.

We didn’t like Ryancare, and rightly so. We complained about it. It didn’t pass. No harm no foul.

Onward...

Also true that Trump went from June 2015 to August 2016 without Bannon, winning the primaries & the nomination. Bu then everyone knew what he stood for. It wasn’t like Bannon gave him new positions.

Artcore, I appreciate the note, and your attempt to explain some of the current thoughts.

As with all Trump appointees, Ivanka and Jared serve at the will of the president. If he does something wrong and it can be tracked back to them, then fine. So far I’ve seen nothing resembling that.

She was attacked for bringing Al Gore in to talk to the president. Trump may have asked her to do it. What was the end result? Gore came in. He had his chance to express his views. Trump withdrew government support from all global warning initiatives.

Trump is his own man. He doesn’t take a back seat to anyone, even his own children. Nobody is going to convince me that his kids were over-riding his decisions in the Trump Real Estate Empire. Why would this be any different?

Trump did support Ryancare, and I thought it was a huge mistake. What evidence do we have that Ivanka and Jared were behind his decision to support it?

We have absolutely no evidence of it, but the question is asked anyway. I see that a lot. If Trump does something, all of a sudden Ivanka and Jared are under the microscope again. That just seems strange. Do we blame Bannon? Do we blame anyone else? No, folks reflexively blame Ivanka or Jared.

Who designed Ryancare? Ivanka? Jared? Paul Ryan?

Despite what some folks may think, it wasn’t Ivanka and Jared. Good freakin grief. It was Paul Ryan and house Congressmen who put that stinking thing together.

Ivanka and Jared weren’t responsible for the phases? I think you realize that.

The president wasn’t either, but he made the mistake of backing it anyway.

Not trying to give you personally a hard time. These thoughts are out there.

Thanks Artcore. It has been.

I particularly liked the bill he signed last week making it possible for states to withhold funding from Planned Parenthood.

The guy gets it.

Not necessarily. If one side in a company holds all the power...the polishing is not even.

Trump needs to get more sleep. He has made some bizarre statements...like Bombing Iraq with Maria having to correct him...forgetting who Jong is..and calling ryan ron.

I had a head Injury and had to watch for slips. Trump has a lot of energy. I could never do what he did on the campaign trail..but screwing up Jong has people questioning whether he is starting to slip. It is more likely a tired type of factor.

Good point.

One thing that I liked about Trump during the campaign, was that when he made a mistake, he’d correct it right away.

How many times have we been disappointed with regard to a candidate and thought, if only they’d change their mind on this. They very seldom did, to our consternation.

Trump at one point stated he didn’t mind Islamic immigration. It was an afternoon statement. The very next morning bright and early, he made a reversal on that point.

Someone got to him, and explained what he had just telegraphed. He changed it!

The guy’s instincts are great, and his policies are great.

I’m not always going to agree with him, but I can recall folks saying something to the effect, if he gets 25, 35, 50% of what he promises done, he’ll be a great president.

At this stage of the game, it’s looking like between 85-95%.

Still, I see folks complaining about the 5 to 15%. Then they attack his daughter and son-in-law too.

The man by any measure has been a human dynamo for our cause so far this year, and folks are still circumspect.

Who in this modern age of politics thought we’d get 30% of what a candidate promised, and here we are getting almost all we wanted.

Yikes. Amazing.

Thanks LS. Keep up the good work.

Wow! You’re a rare one here. I’m fairly agnostic on J&I but loathe “this prince and princess” stuff as well as some of vile things being said about them here on Saturday night when the beer is obviously being served free! Nice to know they have a friend here.

The Paris climate meeting this week was abruptly cancelled.

You know what he said during the campaign.

Lets see if he does it. We will know soon enough.
