How many times have we thought the Clintons were politically done, yet they come back??
But then you wonder, will leading Democrats and the party establishment grease the skids for Hillary again in 2020, or would she have to actually work hard to get the nomination again in 2020?
Hillary will be 73 in 2020, so you might think time has passed her by. But since Hillary has a religious faith that she is destined to be president someday, can she give it up?

She’s keeping her options open. I don’t think she has a realistic shot until 2024. By that time, nature should have taken its course.

I understand what you're saying, and yes, the Clintons have a way of coming back just when everyone thinks they're done. However, even they can't hold back the hands of time. It wouldn't surprise me if neither Bill or Hillary is still among the living in 2020. Bill looks horrible these days, and during the campaign, it was obvious that Hillary has some serious health issues. Even if she is still around and in reasonably good shape in 2020, I don't think she can convince the party to back her for a third run at the White House. A lot of younger party members feel she stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders, and will never forgive her for that. The party establishment backed her to the hilt, only to see her on the losing end of what many called the biggest upset in the history of American politics. They don't want to get burned yet again. Also, President Trump's approval ratings are rising despite the fact that the left has hit him with everything they've got. By 2020, he will be an even more formidable candidate that he was in 2016.
