Trump and Sessions — where rhetoric and deportations meet (barf alert)
Chicago S-T ^ | 16 apr 2017

Posted on 04/16/2017 6:52:43 AM PDT by rellimpank

(snip)Tuesday, at the U.S.-Mexico border, Sessions told border agents the crackdown was aimed at drug and human traffickers as well as cartels to “take our stand against this filth.” In the same breath, he vowed to prosecute those who have fraudulent documents. They’re hardly in the same league with killers and rapists.

Here’s what Sessions leaves out: Immigrants who have committed no crime, except to cross into the United States for a better life, are being caught in his net. He should also mention that the vast majority of undocumented immigrants are law-abiding. Studies have shown that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than people born in the U.S.

But Sessions paints all undocumented immigrants “as a national security threat — when all evidence suggests that they are not,” Miranda Hallett, a professor of sociology at the University of Dayton, told the Christian Science Monitor.

You got that right.

Studies have shown that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than people born in the U.S.

Notice the logical sleight of hand:

Sessions is talking about illegal immigrants. The “studies” are about “immigrants” a completely different group of people. “Immigrants” is a group certainly consisting of mostly legal immigrants, or they would not be in the study.

Crime rates among illegal immigrants are high.

So where does breaking and entering, illegally entering the US, or illegally staying in the US not count as illegal behavior? Every illegal alien is here illegally, what is so hard for everybody to understand about this? Everyone of them should be deported. Period.

Illegal is synonymous with criminal. So, an illegal alien is a criminal by the very fact that he/she broke the Nation’s law in the first place.

Guess who’s never been to Los Angeles.

And here is what YOU left out:

Here’s what Sessions leaves out: Illegal Immigrants who have committed no crime, except to cross into the United States for a better life, are being caught in his net.

And that's exactly what should happen, you bleeding heart Snowflake.

“take our stand against this filth.”

Was Sessions wearing white and standing in front of a burning cross?

Right. That's way half of all Federal arrests are immigration related.

This oft quoted study is pure bull$h!t. It is also irrelevant. Our borders should be closed to ALL invaders.

Actually every person who enters the USA without proper papers has committed a crime. To be here illegally is a crime so undocumented illegals are criminals.

As well they should be. They are not IMMIGRANTS; they're trespassers. Boundary jumpers. Border violators. We have every legitimate right to enforce our immigration laws, boo-hoo stories notwithstanding.

These people knew they were violating the law when they came to this country. Minimizing their criminality doesn't make it go away.

What a steaming crock!! Perhaps legal immigrants are less likely to commit crimes. But I guess the prisons a full of illegals despite their very low crime rate.

“take our stand against this filth.”

Is that dog whistle for the unwashed deplorables? Is it 2020 already? Sounds like a Bannon line.

Think of it this way: a guy breaks into your house in the middle of the night, raids your refrigerator, trashes your living room, crashes on your couch, and stinks up the place.

When you wake up the next day, you're appalled and demand that he leave. He protests, and calls you a jerk. The press steps in and paints you as a cold-hearted tyrant. You finally call the police, and they too are portrayed as heartless thugs robbing this poor home invader of food, shelter, and "a better life."

Who's really in the wrong here?

If the same guy had knocked on your door and politely asked if he could have a bite to eat, you might have obliged him. You might even have volunteered a place to sleep for the night. If he had been gracious and thankful, you might even have helped him find more permanent accommodations. He has no one to blame but himself.

Perhaps if the members of the Chicago Sun-Times Editorial Board were to have their identities stolen by some "undocumented" illegal aliens, they might sing a different tune.

1. All illegal aliens are criminals - by definition. 2. In addition to their illegal entry into our country and their illegal presence, illegals are more likely to commit other crimes than are US citizens, as any reasonable definition of the terms would prove.

Yes...I used this analogy with my 23 yr old grandson the other day...”do you lock the doors to your house?” I think he’s starting to wake from his 12 years of indoctrination.

Yeah, it blows me away when some bleeding heart on TV tries to tell us all that illegals commit less crime than do our citizens (which isn’t true), leaving out the part where if they weren’t here, they’d not be committing ANY CRIMES at all!
