The IRS manager most directly responsible for the targeting of tea party groups has demanded that her deposition for an upcoiming class action lawsuit related to the scandal be kept secret.
Lois Lerner, former head of the tax exempt department at the IRS, claims that she has received death threats in the past and fears that publicity surrounding her deposition will lead to similar threats.
Washington Times:
Mr. Lerner and Holly Paz, another figure from the IRS tea party targeting, told the judge they’ve already faced “harassment and death threats” before, and said they fear another media firestorm if their version of events from the tea party targeting were to become public.

This is simply a case of wanting to be able to spin the PR to your advantage when emerging on the courthouse steps. If the testimony were to be made public she couldn’t do that.
If she and her fellow thugs at IRS didn’t do anything that was illegal and/or wrong, she and her thugs should welcome the release of what happened.
Maybe, she should run off to Tahiti to be with her co criminal, Obama.

No doubt that she got her orders directly from Obama himself after the 2010 tea party successes. When she reveals that massive abuse of power by Obama toward his political enemies then she maybe could have a couple of her requests fulfilled.
She’s going to take the 5th over and over and over. She doesn’t want that coming out because everybody pretty much assumes you’re guilty if you’re taking the 5th.
Lerner did illegal stuff, harassed innocent citizens, and now she wants that illegal stuff to be kept secret so no one harasses her?

To hell with what the judge says. It was perfectly fine for the Democrats to leak anything they wanted. Her testimony should be leaked even if its sealed. I’m sure WikiLeaks would love to publish it.

There are so many of them. All it takes is one to spill the beans on StompyFoot, so I don’t see any need for an immunity deal or a secrecy deal with any of them.
Her problems are just beginning, what with Congress voting to refer her to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.
