hmmm. Actually the Biblical consequence of nationally legalized (king ordained) child sacrifice is invasion and conquest. Not forgiven, either. Reprieve with repentance, but God cannot and will not allow it to go unpunished. 2 Kings 23 & 24. Watch for “and the LORD would not forgive.”
