How Do Media Outlets Know The Source Of The Chemical Attack Was The Syrian Government?

"Trump has escalated military operations in Iraq to a degree that has hugely increased civilian deaths in the war against Islamic State militants.... Furthermore, sending in more U.S. forces to fight alongside the opposition (which includes jihadist groups formerly affiliated with al Qaida) will plunge the U.S. deeper into a conflict against Russia. The destabilizing impact of such a move has to be fully contemplated.

While the images and videos of children struggling to breathe and survive is sickening, there must be some sober consideration about the realities on the ground in Syria. The truth is hard to come by because both the Syrian regime and several of the militant groups involved in the opposition [as well as the CIA] have records of spreading propaganda and manipulating facts."

The immediate coordination of story lines by media outlets, pinning blame for the chemical attack on Syria on Assad are worrisome. Is the Syrian chemical attack a "false flag" operation that will lead the USA and the world into war?

If your source is the rebels, you don’t have a source.

Pretty much.

I’d sooner trust Tokyo Rose before I’d trust any Muslim Brotherhood or wannabe-caliphate stooge.

Trump
Our intelligence agencies
Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel’s intelligence agencies

Trump stated that Assad had been using chemical agents a number of times over the last few months.

Can we agree Trump, our intelligence agencies, Israel and it’s intelligence agencies have more access to intelligence than we do?

The papers are reporting what they were told.

In February, 2016, then CIA director John Brennan stated during a “60 Minutes” interview, “We have a number of instances where ISIL has used chemical munitions on the battlefield.” “The CIA believes that ISIS has the ability to manufacture small quantities of chlorine and mustard gas.” http://www.cbsnews.com/news/cia-director-john-brennan-60-minutes-scott-pelley/

In November, 2016, The New York Times wrote, “The Islamic State has used chemical weapons, including chlorine and sulfur mustard agents, at least 52 times on the battlefield in Syria and Iraq since it swept to power in 2014, according to a new independent analysis.” https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/21/world/middleeast/isis-chemical-weapons-syria-iraq-mosul.html

October, 2014, The Washington Post reports, “[IS uses] chlorine gas against Iraqi security forces”. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/islamic-state-militants-allegedly-used-chlorine-gas-against-iraqi-security-forces/2014/10/23/c865c943-1c93-4ac0-a7ed-033218f15cbb_story.html

July, 2015, The New York Times reports, “ISIS Has Fired Chemical Mortar Shells”, “The Islamic State appears to have manufactured rudimentary chemical warfare shells” https://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/18/world/middleeast/islamic-state-isis-chemical-weapons-iraq-syria.html

September, 2016, Fox News reports, “ISIS believed to have attacked US base in Iraq with chemical agent” http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/09/21/isis-may-have-attacked-us-base-in-iraq-with-chemical-agent.html

The US government believes ISIS possesses and can manufacture chemical weapons, including chlorine. There are reports over the past several years of ISIS using chemical weapons.

Syria claims that when their aircraft bombed Khan Sheikhoun a bomb struck an arsenal and that the chemicals are from the arsenal and not from their bomb.

The US says it tracked a Syrian plane from Shayrat Airfield to Khan Sheikoun, and back to Shayrat Airfield. Syria does not dispute this. This does not prove Syria delivered a chemical weapon.

That's easy. They know its "true" because they have already assumed and asserted it en masse. The cost to their reputation if they now appear uncertain would be too high, therefore it is "true".

There is a divide among those who seek the actual truth, and those that seek to look smart and settle for what everybody with enough clout says is the "truth". One can not serve both ego and God. To know the real truth one must be sufficiently humble and one must remain in doubt when evidence is not sufficient...but it is its own reward as one thirsts to know what is really real and pursues it.

The Press has told us that we have Rangers in Strykers and Special Operations Soldiers in Syria.

Perhaps Assad was sending us a message and he got one back.

The other day there was a thread around a story that tries to distance the Arab Spring from its Muslim Brotherhood roots and when I pointed this out one fellow acted as if the MB merely capitalized on the opportunity rather than pulling strings to orchestrate it.

Given the recent revelations re the IC of the US, I find no one credible at this point in time.

The divide as I see it, is those who accept the Trump and intelligence line until it has been proven to be wrong.

Suspecting it could be wrong isn’t worth our time.

Prove it’s wrong.

Thank you. What is with these people, it’s getting as bad as the “shape shifting aliens really run the world crap.”

Assad has done this multiple times as you know, and our people have been watching.

This stupidity is out of hand.

This whole thing smacks of a disinformation campaign by the Islamists & Saudi Arabia & its friends (e.g., McCain, Grahamnesty, & MANY ‘RATS).

I await the arrival of the promoters of Saudi interest to come and label us Putinistas!

This stupidity is out of hand.

It seems to me to be also. At some point we may find out what we have been told is incorrect, but until then all we have is suspicion.

I can't base my beliefs on simple suspicion.

It doesn't make sense isn't definitive. Some terrorist groups have made small batches of chemical weapons.

Is that definitive here? No.

When someone proves Trump and everyone else was wrong, I'll be glad to accept it.

Seems unlikely. It was just a slap saying “Don't use WMDs!”, something the Obama regime refused to do, even though they promoted the whole mess in Syria as part of the “Arab Spring”.

A nasty business, for sure.

I notice that China is now refusing to take the NORKs coal.

That is a far bigger deal. They have 150,000 troops on the NORKs border.

Trump has no intelligence agencies of his own. He is using the same assets that have been proven wrong multilpe times on this very issue in Syria.

Further, his mouthpiece in a news conference stated yesterday that barrelbombs were also used in the CW strike. That is your proof, jets do not drop barrels.

Trump was hoodwinked, plain and simple.

During the campaign Trump said he will “knock the hell out of ISIS”.

Attacking a Syrian airbase does not knock the hell out of ISIS.

Deep state wants to knock the hell out of Assad. Deep state is sinking its claws into Trump.

I am no conspiracy guy but look around.

Russia is rattling sabres, we have a flotilla headed to NK.
China has troops amassed on the NK border
Russia and Assad (spit in his eye) were crushing our enemy ISIS.
Using CW on the rebels had no upside for him.
ISIS had everything to gain with a false flag operation on their own.
Perhaps Trump is playing 3 dimensional chess. He has diffused the he is in league with Putin myth.

Some of us just refuse to take the MSM ti**ty milk

During the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Syria’s Assad regime was helping insurgents to cross the border and kill Americans.

So too is the atavistic attachment to a regime that not only has killed thousands of its own citizens, but contributed to the deaths of dozens if not hundreds of U.S. troops and contractors in Iraq.

https://newrepublic.com/article/86465/syria-assad-bush-obama-pentagon

Israel has struck Syria a dozen times or so with bombs, the US made this one pinprick attack. I have no sympathy for Assad per above or for his father who helped in the bombing of 250 Marines; http://articles.latimes.com/1988-10-23/news/mn-348_1_marine-barracks

What I think is going to happen is Assad is going to be pressured to stand down, perhaps in the long run, Putin is in decline too. Trump did the right thing.

I think the Trump admin. has a good lead on Assad, his Dr. Gas and everything going on: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3296175/family-of-assads-weapons-chief-dr-gas-living-life-of-luxury-in-london-as-children-die-back-home-in-syria/

Not the mickey mouse conspiracy sites.
