Paris (AFP) - Communist-backed Jean-Luc Melenchon has climbed into third place in the French presidential election, according to new polls, and is being taken seriously in the campaign for the first time.

- Who is he? -

He's a 65-year-old veteran politician who quit the Socialist party after 30 years in 2008 and is now head of his own movement "La France Insoumise" (Unbowed France).

Vive Le Pen!
Though the French seem to think Vichy was France.

He is someone the establishment hopes will block Le Pen. Brexit’s win surprised the establishment. Trump’s win surprised the establishment.

The establishment does not want to be surprised a third time. The establishment will not be surprised a third time.

Le Pen is the only one available to save their country from Islam. And if elected theres still so much work to do it is a mountain.

Mostly from the Socialist Party (lifting four or five percent of the gain from them).

The Unsubmissive Party (the one gaining) has only been around for about a year. On the left wing scale...they are about as left as you can on the top fifty discussion topics.

It doesn’t matter because only the top two advance. Le Pen still sits at 24 to 25 percent and is fairly safe.

You might want to underline two key facts on this election (2 weeks away). First, a quarter of the public say they’ve yet to make a decision on who to vote for. Even with eleven choices....they are frustrated, angry, and want some particular changes to occur. The second odd thing is that in a normal year....twenty percent of the public DOES NOT go and vote in a national French election. There’s some polling going on, and it says that 35-percent (way higher than the norm) may stay home on both election days. We aren’t talking about the first deal with the primary only....but the second election as well.

All in all....it says that the public isn’t happy with the process or the choices. Le Pen has some positives but she’s fired up to have a FREXIT, and that worries some folks. Macron is an empty suit. The remaining guys are hyped up and positive about more immigrants.

I read over the weekend that a large number of gays have decided that the National Front (Le Pen) is the one to vote for, and she’ll likely get 80-percent of gay votes in this election.

He’s not “surging”.

The Elites are feeling the heat, blaming their leaders and going even more left wing in response to their gross unpopularity.

Sounds like the losers supported by the MSM in our 2016 Presidential elections.

Or how Brexit was going to be defeated before it won.

This is why elections by popularity kill a country. President Trump was a miracle and the USA dodged a bullet. This election for France may be her last hope.

Do the French citizens want to save France? Then the only choice is Marine Le Pen.

Further info on the two elections coming up. Le Pen will sail through the first. The one in May will be close:

When is the French Presidential Election 2017, how does it work and who are the candidates?

As France goes, so goes continental Europe. This may be Europe's last chance.

Unfortunately, LePen had to open her big mouth....

The didn’t dodge a bullet.

We’re still REALLY DEEP in the woods.

The Trump election has ANGERED the elites.

What they are going to do in response is still up in the air.

True - but like a Trump pseudo-gaffe, it will blow over with nary a blink if people are sick of the feigned political outrage and virtue signaling politicians.
