Seven wounded Syrians two children, four women and a man waited in pain for darkness to fall to cross into enemy territory. Under the faint moonlight, Israeli military medical corps quickly whisked the patients across the hostile frontier into armored ambulances headed to hospitals for intensive care.
It was a scene that has recurred since 2013, when the Israeli military began treating Syrian civilians wounded in fighting just a few kilometers (miles) away. Israel says it has quietly treated 3,000 patients a number that it expects to quickly grow as fighting heats up in neighboring Syria in the wake of a chemical attack and, in response, an unprecedented U.S. missile strike.
While the numbers are a tiny fraction of the hundreds of thousands of dead and wounded in the six-year Syrian war, both doctors and patients say the program has changed perceptions and helped ease tensions across the hostile border.

Thanks to all the medical folks doing this nasty work. At great risk no doubt.
Wait, al-AP reported this??
Odd that Israel is treating ISIS soldiers as well, don’t recall them ever treating Hamas or Hezbollah militants.

I think there is Christian influence here. These are moves that look more like gospel than anything else.
I posted this to FB. When I did - when it went across - either the AP or FB took the title of the story out, reducing the initial text to simply “News from the AP”. I had to myself add, above the link, the title the story has on the AP page. Makes you wonder if wither AP or FB edited “Israel” out of the initial text that FB folks would see.
I think Jews would take offense at your implying that it was 'Christian influence' that compelled them to act in a humanitarian way lol. But I don't believe it was for humanitarian reasons, our other allies in the region have beeen assisting/enabling ISIS for some time, Turkey buying their oil on the black market, ect. ISIS is actually a proxy army to remove Assad for geo-political and other reasons. That's why O'bummer never seriously bombed them.
Christianity has at least officially made such moves decent.
Think Judeo-Christian heritage. Good works are a Jewish tradition. It’s what drives Jews to the Democratic Party. The Democrats claim to be “doing good.” Voting for Republicans is (mistakenly) seen as selfish and a repudiation of Talmudic tradition.
I’m reminded of these Randy Newman verses from “Let’s drop the big one:”
... but are they grateful?
No, they’re spiteful,
and they’re hateful...

“dont recall them ever treating Hamas or Hezbollah militants”
We do. Once they’re no longer a threat, they get some Jooo! doctoring, so they can go out and be a threat again.
