Evidence that Kushner is threatening the Trump Movement. This view of Kushner could be inaccurate but he needs to come public and make his case.

His motives may be Ok but his political judgment may be deficient. He dines with upper circles of liberals in Manhattan and with globalists. He's also bringing in Gary Cohn which is a very big red flag.

Trump is not a puppet. He was elected to REPRESENT. And be a leader. He is leading. Get behind or get out of his way.

This so called influence seems to be pushing Trump right based on all the actions that Trump can do himself on immigration, trade, economy and Supreme Court.

“He dines with upper circles of liberals in Manhattan... “

Being a poor welfare sucker eating dirt does not make one more patriotic than fine dining in Manhattan. Why the class warfare?

Here’s the full list of the tasks that Kushner is charged with:

• Reinvent the federal government, one of the biggest and most complex organizations in the world. As head of the “White House Office of American Innovation,” Kushner is supposed to bring the mindset and practices of the business world to the public sector. Given that his father went to jail for crimes including tax evasion, and that his boss declared four business bankruptcies, we can only hope Kushner looks far afield for role models.

• Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The greatest diplomatic minds of the century all failed at this Sisyphean task, but at least Trump gave Kushner instructions. Asked about a two-state solution, Trump said: “I am looking at two-state, and one-state, and I like the one that both parties like.” That must be what negotiators call latitude.

• Manage the U.S. relationship with Mexico, a nation Trump repeatedly maligned during his campaign. Trump still claims Mexico will pay for the wall he promises to erect along the border. Those who want to see some hideous, unnecessary barrier actually built should wish Kushner good luck with that.

• Manage the U.S. relationship with China, another nation Trump has repeatedly maligned. The president continues to insist that China keeps the value of its currency artificially low, to boost exports, but presently that is not the case. If anything, the Chinese government is propping up the yuan. I’m sure President Xi Jinping will understand when Kushner explains the discrepancy.

• Assess how the fight against the Islamic State is going. Kushner landed in Iraq Monday along with Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to get a firsthand look at the situation. “The more appreciation you could have for what’s actually happening on the ground, the more informed you are when you start talking about the strategic issues,” Dunford said.

The above is too important for a neophyte. I think the President has gone too far here but on the other hand, the President fired his own brother at one time. So he may be giving huge responsibilities to Kushner to see if Kushner can handle it. We want to think the President is in control and I believe he is. But the latest foray into Syria is not helpful to draining the swamp. It may have been a rush to judgment, it may have been a false flag. OTOH it may not be any of these.

Some folks here at FR seem to over think things. Trump gets information from many sources. Having Jared along with general Dunfird insures that Trump doesn’t get a one sided view

The pearl clutches seem to think Trump is easily manipulated. IF that were true he would have never been in a position to be elected President

Let things develop. Initial reactions may be dead wrong

Lets consider who wrote this, Eugene Robinson, Inside the Beltway Liberal and regular on “Morning Joe”. Grains of salt here.

The author of this article is Eugene Robinson, a liberal.

There is no way a liberal can understand the way Trump works or what is going on in the WH.

Hell, it's hard enough for good conservatives on FR to get Trump.

Trump has a long established practice of having on staff people of different and opposing ideas and styles. Trump likes a degree of chaos and intramural struggle among his staff.

That's why all this fretting about who is winning and who will be fired is unnecessary.

Asked about a two-state solution, Trump said: “I am looking at two-state, and one-state, and I like the one that both parties like.” That must be what negotiators call latitude.

If he'd droned on in deliberately opaque diplomacy-speak, this author would no doubt have been reassured and maybe, just maybe, would have approved. As it stands, author equates plainspokenness with lack of intelligence, and so the snark ensues.

I don't know what sort of circles these people have been moving in, but in mine a person who is capable of distilling complexity down to layman's terms is the intelligent one, not the multisyllabic, nickel-word prattler.

But, I move in private sector circles. Maybe bureaucratic types love complexity for complexity's sake and are bereft without it.

Jared is fine. He’s a smart guy and it appears he is a good guy, but someone has to help him with his wardrobe when in a war zone.

FDR had his Harry Hopkins and Eleanor but the breath of the portfolio handed to this 36-year-old is breathtaking and beyond the powers of one man to master.

If he is to be only eyes and ears for a specific conference in Iraq, that is one thing but if he is to be empowered to make policy or even just to brief the president on the true state of affairs in one of the most complex theaters, he is in over his head.

Multiply by the number of these open-ended assignments into the most complicated and intractable conundrums that face the country, and we do not have a problem solver, we have a bottleneck. Worse, we may have a loose cannon operating out of lines of authority whether that be the military, the diplomacy, politics or whatever today's action brings every morning.

Such a loose cannon is incompatible with orderly administration of government. It generates jealousy and it encourages backstreet overtures to the president. It is devastating to morale. It smacks of, no it is literally, nepotism of the rankest sort. It will ultimately generate chaos.

This does not drain the swamp, it simply creates a new maze.

Robinson the creep is the first to bring up Kushner’s father going to prison and tries to put the Mark of Cain on the son.

What about Bob Creamer, felon, who was in the White House seeing Obama for over 300 times. Once a week for years! Who admitted voter fraud and inciting political violence. Not a mention by Robinson. Why?

Or Chelsea Clinton’s family who are criminals.

Robinson is a knee-kerk DNC-media journalist whose copy is not fit to line bird cages.
