This could all be part of a kabuki theater. Trump: "Look Vlad, I'll do something to look tough. Then you do something to look tough. No worries."

Or it could be one step closer to that scene from The Bedford Incident:

Captain Finlander: "If he fires one, I'll fire one."
Ensign Ralston: "Fire one!"

“This could all be part of a kabuki theater.”

Certainly hope so. We don’t want war with Russia. Just with those tin pot dictatorships .

There’s absolutely no reason for this “incident” to get this out of hand.

Yes, once again we must abandon our common sense, and grasp at some “brilliant, 3-D Chess move.”

Seems we had to do the same thing with Ryancare.

a response that demonstrates Moscow’s readiness to defy Washington and could even put the two nuclear superpowers on a course toward military confrontation.

Stupid. There will be no military confrontation with Moscow...

But, they get paid by the word for their idiotic Hyperbole...

I'll believe the U.S. and the Russians are on bad terms when one country throws the crew members from the other country off the International Space Station.

Until that happens, this is all just made-for-TV drama designed to inflate the ratings for network and cable news programs.

“kabuki theater”
You’ll have the smartest reply on this thread.

Obvious that Russia and US collaborated on this.

And so. The also-ran of a losing team has what to offer? As far as I’m concerned he’s a “never did-never will make it” loser. If the media wants a stupid opinion they can go to McCain, Lindsey, Schumer or that some other full-time lunatic.

Why the heck are we worried enough about Syria, to put us in danger of nuclear war with Russia, as it has no stragic benefit to the US????????????

This is beyond stupid.

It does necessitate the Trump administration negotiating with Russians, at the very time the swamp creatures are going on a two-week vacation.

My biggest fear is that Trump won't wise up and remove the swamp creatures from his pond before they take over. We know who the problems are, why doesn't President Trump? (until now, since the campaign began, he's been very good at picking up on things freepers have figured out)

If Putin's half as smart as we think he is, he'll use this opportunity to put the screws to Bashar al-Assad. He'll draw lines for him - and consolidate his power in that region. We sure as hell aren't going to throw money down the drain doing ‘nation building’ and the Russians don't want that either.

Influence is just fine... for all sides. AND cheaper.

There's a win here for all of us... Russians join the family of ‘good guys who won't allow chemical weapons’, they're warned ahead of time as friends do for each other, AND the monster Assad is weakened.

There's wins here if people are willing to take them...

Two questions:
1 - What was McCain doing in Syria recently.
2 - Were the rescue personnel properly dressed/outfitted to treat victims of a chemical attack.

Just asking. And wondering.
