It wasnt until Europeans took over North America that natives adopted the ideas of gender roles. For Native Americans, there was no set of rules that men and women had to abide by in order to be considered a normal member of their tribe.
In fact, people who had both female and male characteristics were viewed as gifted by nature, and therefore, able to see both sides of everything. According to Indian Country Today, all native communities acknowledged the following gender roles: Female, male, Two Spirit female, Two Spirit male and Transgendered.

Bull shyte on this . You were born w a handicap they killed you
Just proves they were wrong about this. We are vindicated.
Who cares??

Nobody seems to have discovered this before.
maybe they found ancient Native American manuscripts?
And...
“Native Americans” were not a unified group. If the Apache were running around with five genders, that doesn’t mean the Mohawk were. They didn’t even know about the Apache.
Indian peoples from hundreds of years ago, recognized “transgendered” people??? Really????
This strains believability.....
And the purpose of this alleged historic finding is——???
To push the “LGBT” agenda?????
To merely inform us???
What the heck???
Be wary of any claim that treats natives as a monolithic entity.
Only Five sexes ? Obama had 57
The Indians also practiced child sacrifice. The “transgenders” were probably at the top of the list marked for death.
This article implies that the Indians were superior to Christians because they accepted homosexuals.
This sounds a lot like those who talk about “African culture”. There is and was no single African culture. There are many countries, many tribes, many cultures with different customs. The same is true about native Americans. Many tribes, many different cultures, many different customs. To speak as if Africans, indigenous American tribes or European nations ever had a monolithic set of beliefs and customs at any time in history is absurd.
Ahem...”noble savages”
Except in 2017, we discover a stunning fact never heretofore ascertained, that "all native communities acknowledged the following gender roles: Female, male, Two Spirit female, Two Spirit male and Transgendered?
Holy Sacajawea!
How queer!
And nobody knew until now!
When Judaism demanded that all sexual activity be channeled into marriage, it changed the world. The Torah's prohibition of non-marital sex quite simply made the creation of Western civilization possible. Societies that did not place boundaries around sexuality were stymied in their development.
The subsequent dominance of the Western world can largely be attributed to the sexual revolution initiated by Judaism and later carried forward by Christianity.
This revolution consisted of forcing the sexual genie into the marital bottle. It ensured that sex no longer dominated society. .

Native Americans were as pagan as any other primitive cultures. Beliefs in spirits (animism) and so on were common. The whole world was into this sort of thing until God called out Abraham and told him there was only ONE God. So, the Native Americans were just confused and wrong like everyone else. Nothing new under the sun.
The various tribes believed a lot of silly things, such as the Cherokee Ulagu, a giant yellow jacket that lived in the Nantahala Gorge, big as a house, swooped down from the cliffs to grab children and carry them away.
