Vanity: Dumb question about the elections and Russia
Self | Ciaphas Cain

Posted on 04/06/2017 6:19:16 PM PDT by Ciaphas Cain

I humbly ask that my ignorance be forgiven in this matter. As well as my daring to ask about such a thing if it indeed has been documented and discussed and debated.

But I have a question about the issue of Russia intervening with or "hacking" this previous election:

What exactly DID the Russians allegedly do?

What precise mechanisms did they supposedly utilize to alter the outcome of the election? What were the verifiable effects of such interference? Where is the evidence... ANY evidence at all... that Russian parties were inordinately involved in tilting the outcome one way or another?

The only, the only thing I have seen at all about this are unsubstantiated claims, rumors, wild-eyes hysterics, innuendo... and not one shred of solid proof. None whatsoever.

If the Russians influenced the election, HOW did they do it?

TOPICS: Foreign Affairs; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: elections; russia; trump
Seriously hoping someone can enlighten me about this. Because I'm thoroughly stumped.

They apparently let us know what a lying, dirty, corrupt, horrible, awful, despicable, worthless, sorry POS Hillary is by guessing Podesta’s password and exposing her malfeasance. Either that, or they held a gun to the heads of millions of voters and forced them to vote for The Donald. I know that happened to me.

The precise answer to your question is: the Russians interfered in our election.

There are no further details.

None.

(Note: the word interfered could be anything from hacking to a single Russian diplomat sneezing on a voter in line at a voting booth in Peoria.

We NEEDED Russia to tell us that?

What really happened is WikiLeaks gave us true facts about Hillary and her team.

It could be that WikiLeaks is a Russian entity or working for the Russians.

In any case, the dems and the antiTrumpers don’t want to explain this much, because the next question is what’s wrong with getting true information about Hillary.

For some time I've observed that liberals are hellbent on using their feelings to alter reality itself. As if sheer emotion alone can alter the inalterable.

This seems to be an extreme example of that.

It could be that WikiLeaks is a Russian entity or working for the Russians.

So it could have been the Russians. It could have been a disaffected member of Clinton's staff. It could have been some hormone-enraged fifteen-year old pimply-faced loser named Lance operating out of his bedroom in suburban Michigan. It could have been rogue agents time-traveling from the distant future...

Simply claiming "the Russians did it!" does not make it so.

Hacked the DNC and Podesta.

Only proof for it is a report by Crowdstrike, a private mostly Google owned company. DNC refused to let the FBI look at the servers.

It’s all fake news.

It was either the Russians or a cosmic time-warp. Those are the only possible ways Hillary could have lost.

The cosmic-time warp idea is a copyrighted term held by Disney so they couldn’t use it...

With a follow-up to your questions being: And has America done the same or similar to any other foreign nation in an attempt to influence their election(s)?

(I’m pretty sure the U.S. has done plenty of dirty work in lots of elections, both foreign and domestic)

Oh, America has done just a bit more than influencing mere elections.

Clinton and Bush the Lesser made it into an art form.

According to Comey, Comey’s “evidence” that Russia sought to help Trump was based upon the idea Putin hated Clinton, so therefore he must support Trump. That is not evidence. That is a GUESS. I guess it never occurred to Comey that there were 2 other candidates ( Stein and Sanders ) that Russia may have preferred - after all, this was all during the primary. What did the DNC leaks basically reveal ? That she and the DNC were srewing over the Bernie supporters. The release of that info benefits Bernie more than Trump. Or it never occurred to Comey that maybe Russia wanted Hillary in, but as a damaged candidate - under investigation - so that it would make her a weakened president. But I guess Comey and the "intelligence community" never considered these scenarios and only considered the simplistic - He hated Hillary ( only based on info released about Hillary that has never been traced to Russian involvement - the "intelligence report" they produced as "evidence" was severely flawed. ) thus he must have been supporting Trump.

Didn’t you see Putin walking around with large boxes full of Trump votes and dropping them off at polling stations?

LOL

These are hugh charges. I’m series. I don’t what the nature of the evidence is, though.
