A California woman accused of killing the father of her two children is expected to be released from jail Thursday after posting an unprecedented $35 million bail raised by wealthy friends, family and business associates with ties to China.
Tiffany Li pleaded not guilty to murder and directing her boyfriend and another man to kill Keith Green and dispose of his body. Prosecutors say she feared losing custody of her children.
--------------
Her family put up $4 million in cash and -- with the help of friends -- about $70 million in properties, Fox 2 reported, noting that the law requires the equity of the homes to be twice the bail.
--------------
California requires twice the bail amount if property is used instead of cash.

I gotta admit, part of me really wants to see her jump bail.
I want to see what happens with the properties.

LOL! Looking at some of the folks she hangs with (ahem), I think ‘dog the bounty hunter’ would be the least of her worries. Aren’t they working on some sort of “bail-less” system in calibfornia currently? Thought I read something yesterday about it. You know, once you’re booked you just have to ask politely to get out and promise to show up for your court date. That way it’s fair to the poor folks who can’t come up with $35Mil.

That kind of money for someone so young doesn't get proffered unless the kind of illegal money behind it is vast enough. I'm thinking drug money involved here.

Friends, my derriere. My bet is, though, she’d be safer in US custody. Wonder what the heck she knows...

Remember scene from Miami Vice first episode wherein the big time drug lord posts a $2 million cash bond. When Crockett and Tubbs go to get him, they find him released on bond with the turn key saying, gee, who runs on a $2million bond, why worry. Last scene he is leaving Miami in a seaplane.

Hey, that's a very big and very corrupt business in California. Bail is big there and probably accounts for the establishment's promotion of the "leftist value system."
Maybe it should get an investigation?

Wow! That was the first thing I thought of too.
With that type of money, she can hide in many places; some of which do not have extradition treaties with the USA.
