A couple observations, if I remember what I’ve recently read here:
1) Unmasking is allowable only if the “US Person” appears to be involved in something extremely serious — like terrorism.
2) The “US Person” who turned out to be Donald Trump was NOT implicated in any way, at any time, in any sort of criminal behavior.
And yet this particular “US Person” showed up in the President’s Daily Briefing on a regular basis? And the references to this “US Person” were so gosh darn compelling that Susan Rice said: “I just HAVE to know who this person is — let’s unmask this one!”
No.
No it just doesn’t work that way.
Why would she even need to ask for an unmasking if the activity seen was unmistakably Trump? What did that serve except to get her into deeper dutch?
...but then is changes from “US Person” to “US Official.”
