You left off the next sentence that specifically says who the homeowner is... I’m not saying it’s his residence, only that he owned the home. I suppose it would have better for the intruder if the homeowner had called the police and then let them shoot him if need be.

Yeah, I get that. You think that people should be allowed to move into homes that they don’t own, refuse to leave, threaten the rightful owner of the home, without fear of getting killed, as long as no one else is living there, because of a google definition of “home”.
