From Kitsap Sun; Suspect in Belfair shooting charged with first-degree murder;
Mason County Prosecutor Michael Dorcy said Tuesday that Rosa had been at a nearby friend's house Friday night and took a walk early Saturday after getting into an argument. Rosa might have mistakenly entered Fanning's building, which has an identical floor plan to the house where he had been visiting his friend, according to Dorcy.
From the embedded link;
The friend's residence has the same floor plan and design as Fannings home business office, Dorcy said.At some point during the early morning hours, Rosa and a friend had a disagreement and Rosa gathered his shoes and went for a walk. He did not have his own car with him, and detectives noted his clothes, found on the bathroom floor, were wet, indicating he may have spent considerable time outdoors. Temperatures dropped to the upper 30s that night, Dorcy said.
In addition to determining if Rosa was intoxicated, Dorcy said investigators will attempt to determine whether he was hypothermic, which may have contributed to a sense of disorientation. Fanning reported signs of forced entry to the building, and Dorcy said he may have believed he was at his friends house and assumed he had been locked out.
My worry was being shot by a homeowner.
