Listening to the police scanner here in Grand Junction. Police are evacuating Central High School at this time. Apparent bomb threat, and has been mention of kid with gun. No word on active shooter at this time.

Police scanner stating one of the students is sitting next to the bomb in room 213. Kid is texting her sister.

Lol. It was coming over the scanner as I typed. I don’t believe the suspect is female. This is just a girl that is stuck inside with suspect and other students in one room. She is saying she is sitting next to the bomb. They are trying to get a description.
Mesa County Sheriff tweeted that someone is barricaded and armed is not true, but sounds as if scanner is telling G a different story.

Still evacuating. Sounds like a couple more main buildings and several outbuildings. No word on the device or suspect at the moment. They were interviewing a couple students who apparently know the suspect at the moment. Any info I post is coming from the local police scanner.

Kinda confusing until you realize that fire/EMS is left audio channel and LEO is right audio.

This is the 3rd or 4th weird thing in CO in two weeks.
While listening to the scanner regarding this activity, a kidnapping report has come through. Police looking for a man that has allegedly kidnapped a woman's child. He doesn't have anything to do with the baby, either.
