In the early days of Rush’s radio show, Martin Sheene, then (figurative) mayor of Malibu declare that Malibu would be a ‘Sanctuary City for the Homeless’. So Rush took him up on that and offered to pay for a bus to transport a bunch of homeless and dump them in Malibu. The people there panicked and that ‘declaration’ was quickly overturned.
