Boston Schools Change Maps to “De-colonize” History
The Dennis Prager Show ^ | March 22, 2017 | Dennis Prager

We’re all for accuracy. But that’s not why this change is being made. It’s being made for political purposes. Because Africa looks bigger on the new map that’s going to change the lives of black and other minority students? Really? No, it’s really about showing minority students how victimized they have been.

And not a map of Islam that is currently raping Africa.

Look how small Europe is compared to North America, South America and Africa. I’m even more impressed with the overwhelming superiority of Western culture to be that much of major league ass kickers.

Map projections are now racist?

Just buy a freaking globe, and kids can see all the correct proportions so they will magically become better people.

From what I have read the new map is a more accurate representation of the actual size of the countries and continents.

Of course the usage in Boston is political-——showing the US as small-—there we are not so important.

To plug this in to the larger picture of what is destroying the West:

What Drives The Trump Haters

Note, also, that getting any group to focus on a grievance, whether real or imaginary, is the surest way to lead them down the primrose path to failure. It has ever been thus in the misuse of susceptible people throughout the history of demagoguery, skullduggery, and sociopathic endeavors. This does not serve any rational or justifiable purpose--none.

"Look how small Europe is compared to North America, South America and Africa. I’m even more impressed with the overwhelming superiority of Western culture to be that much of major league ass kickers."

That's the first thing that I thought of as well. As a matter of fact, now the question becomes: with South America and Africa being so much larger than Europe or the United States, why were their civilizations unable to produce anything useful or to expand to send out THEIR people to colonize Europe or the civilized West? It simply goes to show how size had nothing to do with colonizations, but rather the superiority of the developments within Europe and the West ...

It makes no difference what the map looks like.
Those morons probably can't read a real map anyway.
That's why they're all dependent on GPS.
I hope they all get lost somewhere.

Why do this? In less than a year after leaving school they won’t be able to locate anything on a world map.

Boston, was the same city, that couldn’t handle “Welcome Back, Kotter” in the 1970s, because the TV show, had a integrated classrooms.

I've been to Africa...several times.Having flown,non-stop,from Europe to the southern tip of the continent I can attest to the fact that Africa is big.But having seen rural areas of East Africa as well as Nairobi,Dar Es Salaam and Johannesburg I can also attest to the fact that bigger isn't always better.

The map's shape preserves shapes and sizes.

“Use a globe.”

Oh, sure.

In today’s climate, you’d better supply a trigger-warning for the flat-earth believers.

Yes. It's a good projection.

It also shows how a relatvely small number of people occupying a relatively small part of the global land mass developed a world far ahead of any of the other people who had far more raw materials and land mass.

Gosh, I wonder why?

There’s too much of this nonsense coming out these days.

I suggest someone find out where it’s all coming from, and let the Justice Department handle it.

These are all geared to delegitimize the government of the United States.

That map is hopelessly stretched. A globe (or Google Earth) is a more accurate representation of size.

Sickening

I do find it interesting and I can't find what is sickening.

The agenda for change and its motives are of less interest to me than facts. Perspectives trump truths.

Displaying a sphere on a flat map is difficult. I am looking forward to researching this and also curious to review a globe.
