Democrats are flailing around in a desperate effort to block Judge Neil Gorsuch’s appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court. They are still sore over what the New York Times editorial board claimed was the “Senate Republicans’ outrageous and unprecedented blockade of Merrick Garland” last year. Vengefully seeking to delegitimize Judge Gorsuch’s nomination, the Senate Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are using much of their time trying to trip up Judge Gorsuch with “gotchas,” as well as caricaturing the man and his record. In the process, the Democrats appear petty and partisan, while Judge Gorsuch is acquitting himself with eloquence, dignity and wit. Over and over again, Judge Gorsuch stressed his fealty to the law, including to the Constitution.

Reminds me a bit of the bluff and bluster of Democrats at the hearings for Justice Alito. Ted Kennedy and others charged that Alito was a member of some racist organization at Princeton? They wanted to delay his confirmation vote while they fully investigated allegations as I recall??
Its frustrating to listen to Pat Leahy and Al Franken and the gang pontificate about things which they know nothing about. But we will proceed to a vote soon enough.
Isn’t it so bad for the poor libs, they lost the House, they lost the Senate and they lost the White House, and WE the people finally got what they have had for so many years...
Lets just hope these RINO’s in the House and Senate can actually find their ‘lost items’ and get stuff done for once...
I’m sure I’m preaching to the coir but “unprecedented”? No it’s not unprecedented, not voting a a supreme court pick during an election is called the “Biden Rule” because Biden did it during the Bush administration. Schumer even said that he wouldn’t vote for a supreme court appointment during an election when there was no appointment pending and basically no one was even asking him. Biden is not usually right, but he was right about this. There is no reason or excuse for a lame duck president to be making supreme court picks. Elections have consequences and one of the BIG things that was at stake this election was who got to make this supreme court pick.

The CBS This Morning Legal reporter gal was saying how the GOP senators only offered praise but the Dems were qsking very serious questions - GH. The lapdog media is so pathetic. I think they forgot that they are not supposed to be obvious leftwing partisans and are actually supposed to report facts.
Key to Gorsuch success: he knows more than his opponent. That’s the key to winning over opponents.
Senator Whitehouse’s questioning yesterday was something out of a conspiracy movie. For nearly an hour, he begged Gorsuch to enlist in his own witch-hunt for “dark money” by shadowy organizations.
