President Trump’s Week: Wiretaps, Media, and Judicial Skullduggery
American Thinker ^ | March 19, 2017 | Clarice Feldman

While the Democrats have abandoned the counterfactual claim that the Russians interfered with the election to help President Trump into office, Trump’s claim that U.S. officials surveilled him still has legs.

Eli Lake reports:

On March 1, the New York Times reported that in the final days and weeks of the Obama administration, White House officials rushed to preserve and distribute intelligence on connections between Russia and Trump’s associates throughout the government. In practice this meant that raw intelligence was processed into analytical reports and classified at a relatively low level. “As Inauguration Day approached, Obama White House officials grew convinced that the intelligence was damning and that they needed to ensure that as many people as possible inside government could see it,” according to the Times.

Did this raw intelligence include Flynn’s calls with the Russian ambassador? Depending on what Schiff and Nunes turn up, this could be a real scandal, particularly if the names of other Trump associates picked up in incidental surveillance were unmasked and distributed widely within the government.

This would mean that the Obama administration had effectively short-circuited the FISA process by checking to see if Trump associates were picked up incidentally on existing surveillance, and then disseminating the take widely within the intelligence bureaucracy. That’s not the same as ordering -- without court oversight -- a targeted wiretap on Trump Tower. But it’s pretty serious, nonetheless.

The American Spectator’s report adds credence to the claim:

Heard some FBI person say that there was no physical wire tap of the Trump tower.

But what about all the other means of information gathering.

We all have good reason to believe that President Trump and his associates were spied on. Anyone who thinks differently is naïve.

I'm betting it's no different than Watergate....looking for insiders information.

I'm even betting that they found some REAL numbers and that's when Hillary went on a last minute "get out the vote" rampage using every Hollywood star she knew....and the Obama's.

Alas...she lost. AND WE WON!!

Everybody knows “wire tapping” is shorthand for modern surveillance which everybody knows doesn’t necessarily mean physical wire tapping. The liars are hiding behind disingenuous pedantry.

Rep. Adam Schiff said on Meet the Press this AM that “we have evidence to prove that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians”. Chuck Todd asked for no further details on this.

The NY Times on 2/14/17 reported that 4 U.S.law enforcement and intelligence officials had revealed that phone records and intercepted calls showed that the the Trump campaign and other associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials. There was no evidence of collusion.

The Russian thing was always silly. What’s Russia’s #1 economic need? High oil prices. What did Trump promise to do and has done: Increase oil exploitation and fracking which will lead to massively lower oil prices. People whine about Putin supporting nationalist movements, but Putin’s piled 100x more funding into anti-fracking environmental groups to keep the price of oil and natural gas high.

I wish and hope President Trump and Attorney General Sessions will give serious thought to Clarice Feldman's passing suggestion that

"...and Congress and the president can consider other options as well -- including stripping federal courts of jurisdiction over immigration."

In the meantime, despite considerable judicial and congressional interference, he does keep moving forward. This week, the G-20 revised its rules to meet his demands on free trade.
