I helped homeless veterans and welfare moms at the unemployment office for years. There is almost no one going hungry in this country.

Lemon seems to be having a hard time understanding that many programs should be states’ responsibilities, paid for by the states, with some assistance from the government if necessary, not the other way around.
A person cannot lump ALL blacks in one category. Many blacks have and keep good jobs and support their families admirably.

I live close to the no-go zone in Baltimore and we do most of our grocery shopping at a deep discount chain supermarket just around the corner. We are in the small minority that do not pay with EBT cards. Based on several years’ observation of the customers, most of the women could go six months on a rice and water diet and still fall into the morbidly obese category.
