Former national security adviser Michael Flynn was paid more than $67,000 by Russian companies before the presidential election, according to documents released Thursday by a Democratic congressman.

Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland asked the Trump administration to provide a comprehensive record of Flynn's contacts with foreign governments and interests.

Flynn accepted $33,750 from Russia's government-run television system for appearing at a Moscow event in December 2015 — a few months before Flynn began formally advising President Donald Trump's campaign — and thousands more in expenses covered by the network and in speech fees from other Russian firms, according to the documents

How much went to the Clintons for the children taken
from Haiti who were then raped, and had their organs
removed before being put in sealed drums???

Did the MSM even cover it?

But the Clintons’ megabucks speeches around the world never raised an eyebrow.

I didn’t want to get rid of the Clintons so we could have folks ostensibly on our side pulling the same scams. Two wrongs, as mother used to say, don’t make a right.

I agree. And it’s a given. Liberals don’t expose liberal crimes. I don’t want to emulate their types of bad and illegal behavior. I believe we’re better than them.

And Clinton dodged the draft. He was never in the military. Adultery would have put him out. Likewise, this didn't hang over his head:

"The Defense Department has said retired military officers are covered by the emoluments clause because they could be recalled to military service. The department has also noted that the prohibition on accepting foreign gifts includes commercial groups controlled by foreign governments or others "considered instruments of the foreign government."

General Flynn is gone from President Trump’s administration.

Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland should take his concerns to the proper agency.

Yeah, the last time I remember libs complaining about speaking fees was when former president Reagan gave a speech in Japan for big bucks.

How dare the President do this.

He is asked for some papers on Flynn, and instead of using lawyers to fight this tooth and nail, he just hands over the papers, no problem.

How are lawyers supposed to earn a living if the government is ACTUALLY transparent????

two wrongs don't make a right...

Exactly. We knew the swamp is a polluted place. Now we're learning that many folks only had to dip one toe into the quagmire to be sucked in.

I'm having another thought. The military is all convoluted and interconnected with corporate entities. Is this because so much of what should be done by the military is now contracted out to the private sector?

Yet, as every driver knows; three rights (1stAM, 2ndAM, 4thAM) make a left, ne c’est pas?

Two wrongs don't make a right.

You are aware that a.) Flynn wasn't on the ballot and b.) Flynn is no longer in the adminstration.

Trying to equate Trump to the Clintons is absurd.

Flynn was a lifelong Democrat. I don’t care if he had some epiphany. For that reason alone the guy was damaged goods.

Plus he was on Turkey’s payroll. Good riddance to bad rubbish. The guy is a douchebag.

I think that its because once retired they often make authoritative advocates for corporations. It would be a good thing if they were putting the needs of DoD ahead of their new employer. However, they don’t always do that. In Flynn’s case, he seemed to be cashing in on his former connections with DIA and with foreign countries, Russia and Turkey. At least he wasn’t taking any Iranian money.
