Venezuela has a bread shortage. The government has decided bakers are the problem.

Facing a bread shortage that is spawning massive lines and souring the national mood, the Venezuelan government is responding this week by detaining bakers and seizing establishments.

In a press release, the National Superintendent for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights said it had charged four people and temporarily seized two bakeries as the socialist administration accused bakers of being part of a broad “economic war” aimed at destabilizing the country.

In a statement, the government said the bakers had been selling underweight bread and were using price-regulated flour to illegally make specialty items, like sweet rolls and croissants.

The government said bakeries are only allowed to produce French bread and white loaves, or pan canilla, with government-imported flour. However, in a tweet on Thursday, price control czar William Contreras said only 90 percent of baked goods had to be price-controlled products.

Socialism... lines of people waiting for bread to buy.

Capitalism... lines of bread waiting for people to buy.

See the difference?

That’s an excellent graphic and an excellent question, and one that no liberal will get right.

But how can they be expected to understand this rather difficult concept when they can’t even grasp the difference between XX and XY?

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
The State forces you to give one to your neighbor.

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and gives you some milk.

DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, promises more free cows, lets you vote and gives you sour milk.

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk.

NAZISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and shoots your wife and kids.

BUREAUCRATISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, and then throws the milk away.

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.

CONTEMPORARY WALL STREETISM
You have two cows.
You sell one, bundle the other with a goat, a mule,
and two dry cows.
You pile into the derivatives market, buy a Gulfstream
and when it all comes down around your ears...
You go to the government for a bailout.

The other week my first school grade daughter was invited to play at a classmates home. So Wednesday we happily reciprocated.

Both parents arrived to pick the school friend up. Turns out they are both doctors from Venezuela. The Woman came first and learned German in six months and then the father and daughter arrived. That was last year and now they all speck German very well.

When they went to the door the girl cried for real because she did not want to leave. Told my daughter to give her a hug. Later I told my wife to invite more little friends from school because they had a great time playing and laughing. She said that can easily be done because she is good friends with many like a girl from Africa and another from Vietnam. So I finally corrected my wife who has been referring to “the refugees” as “the fugitives”. Because you know, Catholic School attracts many such people and she can’t be... you know.

Very nice people!
Told them again anytime.

That’s all I got take it or leave it.

Not just bakers. Just change a few words:

Facing a affordable health care shortage that is spawning massive lines, increased prices and souring the national mood, the obama government is responding this week by detaining doctors and seizing insurance companies.

In a press release, the National Superintendent for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights said it had charged four people and temporarily seized two hospitals as the socialist administration accused doctors, insurance companies and pharmaceutical firms of being part of a broad “economic war” aimed at destabilizing the country.

In a statement, the government said the doctors had been promoting unnecessary exams and were using price-regulated drugs to illegally make specialty items, like pain killers and AIDS treatments.

The government said hospitals are only allowed to provide services after consulting with a government board and insurance panel. However, in a tweet on Thursday, price control czar William Contreras said only 90 percent of medical procedures had to be price-controlled features of the government mandate.

Why don’t the Venezuelan bakers just make bread from sawdust?

Answer: They don’t have any sawdust either!

Sean Penn, Oliver Stone and Danny Glover are rushing to help! Oh, wait, they’re busy swilling champagne and flying around in private jets with their 1-percenter friends. Somehow they never managed to make the move to the worker’s paradise that is Venezuela.

There are a hundred different categories of refugee, immigrant, asylum-seekers, and fugitives in Germany. You can divide them upon various lines and find that a third of those who come into Germany...will eventually become Germanized and worth having as neighbors.

The problem is that Germans can’t come to that rational moment of reality where they realize that roughly fifty percent of those who arrived or walked in...are ‘problems’ and will require high maintenance in the end.
