My cats sleep 19 hours a day. How the hell would they notice?

I'm getting some reprieve, my cat used to start trying to wake me up at 4:00 a.m., shortly after at 4:15 a.m. my coffee pot would automatically start and at about 4:25 a.m. I would get out of bed, pour a cup of coffee and feed the cat.
then I would go back to bed till about 6:15 a.m. and finally arise............
My cat hasn't realized the time change yet and so I get to sleep until the new 4:25 a.m.

Yep, my 4 “bulldren” [English Bulldogs] are a little confused with this time change too. They usually eat at 3......we are adjusting the feeding schedule by about 15 minutes a day. Before long, we will be back eating at the regular time.

I tell my dog “If you had opposable thumbs you could feed yourself and that would be fine with me but, you don’t, so wait....”

The dog adjusted in 24 hours. I’m still trying to explain it to the cat. He just looks at me like I don’t know what I am talking about.

I have two nine year old German shepherds and nothing has changed. I put their food in their dishes at basically the same time and they don’t touch it until later in the day. I haven’t watched if they eat it earlier or not. The female eats later than the male.

I agree with you a million percent. We are now on government mandated FAKE time, which I despise with every fiber of my being.

My guys notice time shifts to schedules. We have a daily routine, they know it very well.

My dog revolves its life around me. Doesnt care it I wake up an hour before sunrise or an hour after. That is when the day starts! Bingo. Same here.

"Or why it is light when they retire to bedroom when it used to dark." And where do they sleep once they get to the bedroom?? Could you be engaged in the degrading and degraded practice of dog sleeping?? Mine being really four footed people, I naturally do not need to answer any such question.
To: DallasBiff
I helped my dog set his clock and he’s doing fine.

“Yeah my cat didnt give me an extra hour. Its still a 4:00 AM wake up call!”
4 AM? You have it easy. Ours is 3 AM on the button. She sits at the foot of the bed and whines until someone gets up to giver her tuna.
To: libstripper
Well, they have their own bed. Your comment makes no sense to me. But never mind. Mine was but an innocent observation
