He wasn’t groomed or smart - just willing to sell his soul. He ran as someone who would uplift blacks, while opposing “gay marriage”; in the end, blacks are worse off than ever and gays are “marrying”.

All I saw was a lazy, low-IQ, bitter man fueled by race hate and the desire to lash out at anyone who was more successful and accomplished than he was (which was just about everyone).
Yeah, that’s one of the puzzle pieces that doesn’t fit quite perfectly. My best guess is that whoever is pulling the strings (Soros?) had the Clintons as plan A and 0vomit as plan B. Maybe they wanted him in 2008. Or maybe he went rogue and jumped the gun, and then they had to run with it. Who knows. It sure would be nice to know the real story.
Based on my observation of liars, once they start lying, it doesn’t matter how many people they lie to or how often. It becomes a habit, a way of life. I believe there is some sort of psychological thrill these people get from lying. It’s kind of like “Ha! I’m so much smarter than you because I can con you into believing me. You must be an idiot.”
Another factor is that liars have very low self-esteem (though they often come across as the opposite). Deep down, they know they are zeros. Since the truth would expose them as the losers they are, their only option is to pile lies on top of more lies and pretend to be something they are not.
I’m not so sure they fell for him the first time. I’d like to know how much voter fraud there really was. But I am quite sure they didn’t fall for him the second time. The voter fraud was definitely what put him over the top in 2012.
